Daily Report August 13, 2016

At dawn on August 12th 2016, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Ein Al-Lawza area located in Silwan neighborhood of Jerusalem city and assaulted Alaa Qara'in and as a result left him hospitalized with contusions.

At 17:25, Israeli forces raided Al-Eizariya and Abu Dios towns until 23:00.

At 00:45, Israeli forces detained 8 residents: Alaa Jamjoum, Murad Al-Ish'hab, Ahmad Abu Ghazaleh, Wissam Hijazi, Alaa Al-Fakhouri, Rami Al-Fakhouri, Yunis Abu Shushah and Mohammad Abu Shushah.

On the evening of August 12th 2016, Israeli forces positioned near the North entrance of Al-Ram town fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

On August 12th 2016, Israeli authorities served an order for the deportation of Nitham Abu Ramouz {A resident of Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem} from his home ,
sentenced him to home detention until August 26th 2016 and forced him a financial penalty of 2000 NIS as part of his release from Israeli prison.

At dawn on August 12th 2016, Israeli forces positioned in Ein Al-Louz area in Silwan neighborhood assaulted Alaa Qara'in and as a result left him hospitalized with contusions.

At 08:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Atarah town bridge then searched residents and vehicles until 09:30.

At 19:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 20:20.

1. At 13:50, a demonstration took place in Bi’lin protesting against the construction of the wall during which they clashed with Israeli forces and as a result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation

At 08:15 and again at 22:20, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Eniv" checkpoint until 21:25.

1. At 23:40, Israeli forces raided Beit Amin village then stormed and searched a home.
2. At 00:20, Israeli forces raided Hajja village and clashed with several residents.

At 16:00, Israeli forces positioned in east Azzun town temporarily detained 4 residents including 2 children: Osama Billal Saleh Suwadin (17 years old), Ali Husam Ali Suwadin (17 years old), Nayef Saleem Radwan, and Hussein Saleem Radwan then released them at a later time.

At 13:00.a demonstration took place in Kafr Qaddum against the closure of the east entrance during which they clashed with Israeli forces tried to disrupt the demonstration by firing live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards demonstrators who attempted to reach they demonstration site

1. At 10:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Sarah village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 11:30.
2. At 13:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at "Yitshar" settlement junction and impeded the free flow of traffic.
3. At 17:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beita town then searched residents and vehicles.
4.At 18:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along the main road in Huwara town then searched residents and vehicles

1. At 09:05, Israeli forces raided Assira Al-Qibliya village and detained a resident.
2. At 13:50, Israeli forces raided Huwara town as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers near the main road during which they fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents as
they attempted to prevent the settler attack and as a result left 4 residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation and temporarily detained Farah Yasser Odah then released him at a later time and withdrew at 15:00.
3. At 23:35, Israeli forces raided Beita town, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 03:15.

Israeli forces detained Mohammad Jibril Saleh in Assira Al-Qibliya village.

1. At 13:50, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents near the main road during their raid into Huwara town and as a result left 4 residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation

1.At 20:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Al-Zawiya town bridge then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 23:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Kafr Al-Dik and Deir Ghassana towns then searched residents and vehicles until 00:20.

At 18:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Teqou' then searched residents and vehicles until 20:30.

1. At dawn on August 12th 2016, Israeli forces raided Al-Khas village and summoned Ahmad Naji Hamidan to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
2. At 02:25, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city, stormed and searched several homes and a Local Charity Organization, confiscated 6 computers
and summoned 3 residents: Abdallah Jamil Musa Shuwaka, Sa'ada Sabri Mohammad Jaddu and Ala Omar Attallah Awwad to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

At 18:35, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Teqou' town fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

At 17:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint between Al-Sara and Khursa villages then searched residents and vehicles

At 02:40, Israeli forces raided Sa'ir town then stormed and searched a home.

1. At 02:00 on August 12th 2016, Israeli forces detained Ibrahim Mu'taz Al-Ja'bari during their raid into Hebron city as mentioned in the previous report.
2. At 03:40 on August 12th 2016, Israeli forces detained 4 residents: Abdel Mahdi Arif Mohammad Shaladeh, Waheed Ma'rouf Shaladeh, Rafat Yusef Za'al Shalaldeh
and Fadi Jawdat Abdel-Rahman Shalaldeh during their raid into Sa'ir town as mentioned in the previous report.

On the evening of August 12th 2016, Israeli forces positioned near Beit Anun village junction fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

At 17:00, an Israeli settler vehicle ran over Ibrahim Ahmad Shihdeh Abu Awad as he was herding his sheep and as a result left him hospitalized with contusions.

* Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

At 07:00 on August 12th 2016, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town, temporarily detained 5 fishermen then released them at a later time after confiscating their fishing boat.

At 07:00 on August 12th 2016, Israeli forces temporarily detained 5 fishermen:
Saed Jum'a Baker, Mohammad Saed Baker, Ibrahim Saed Baker, Yasser Nassar Baker and Ahmad Mahmoud Al-Louh then released them after
confiscating their fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town

1.At 09:30 on August 12th 2016, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in Deir Al-Balah city.
2. At 15:00 on August 12th 2016, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards several residents positioned near Al-Buriej camp
as they were participating in demonstrations against the Israeli military and settler assault on Al-Aqsa mosque compound and as a result injured a resident.
