WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 15:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Izariyye town and searched civilians and vehicles.
(ii) At 17:30, Israeli forces set up 2 checkpoints at the entrances of the town of Hizma and impeded flow of traffic.

Raid

At 16:10, Israeli forces raided the towns of Abu Dis and Izariyye and patrolled them until 20:30.

Detention

• At 09:30 Israeli forces arrested civilian Raed Zughaiqr (employee at the Waqf Department in Al-Aqsa Mosque) while he was reporting to the Israeli intelligence.

Deportation

• At 10:00, Israeli forces delivered decisions for the deportation of 2 civilians (one is an employee in the Waqf Department and the other is a guard at the Al-Aqsa Mosque) for 6 months from the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its vicinity. The civilians are Firas Duisi, Head of Public Relations at the Islamic Waqf, and Arafat Nagib, Al-Aqsa Mosque Guard.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

• At 12:30, Jewish settlers backed up by Israeli forces raided Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

• At 08:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Nabi Saleh village and searched civilians and vehicles until 12:00.
• At 15:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of the town of Beit Rima and searched civilians and vehicles.
• At 17:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of the town of Silwad and searched civilians and vehicles.

Raid

• At 22:30, Israeli forces raided the village of Betilo and arrested 2 civilians.
• At dawn on 29 July 2016, Israeli forces raided and patrolled the village Kafr Ein.

Detention

The 2 civilians arrested in Betilo village are Mohammad Ibrahim Abdel Qader Bazar and Mohammad Samir Saleh Radwan.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

• At 10:20, Israeli forces set up checkpoint between the towns of Zababdeh and Qabatia and searched civilians and vehicles.

Detention

At 02:40, Israeli Forces arrested during raid on the town of Yabod as mentioned in the last report) civilian Imad Mahmmoud Mohammad Abadi from home.

TUBAS

Flying Checkpoints

• At 11:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint during a raid on Bardala village and searched civilians and vehicles until 12:45.

Raid

At 11:50, Israeli forces raided and patrolled the villages of Ein Al-Beda and Bardala, set up checkpoint in Bardala and withdrew at 12:45.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 14:45, Israeli forces intensified restrictions at Einav checkpoint and impeded flow of traffic. At 19:00, Israeli forces closed the checkpoint and impeded flow of traffic until 19:30.

QALQILIYA

Raid

• At dawn on 29 July 2016, Israeli forces raided and patrolled the city of Qalqilya.

Detention

At 20:30 on 27 July 2016, Israeli forces arrested during road on the town of Azun (as mentioned in the last report) civilian Ahmad Salim Darrar Radwan.

NABLUS

Raid

• At dawn on 29 July 2016, Israeli forces raided Eina Al-Ma’ refugee camp in the city of Nablus and arrested 1 civilian.

Detention

• The civilian arrested in Ein Al-Ma’ refugee camp in Nablus city of Ibrahim Alu Al-Reesh.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

.At 21:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint under the bridge of Iskaka village and searched civilians and vehicles.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 08:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint under the bridge of the town of Al-Khader and searched civilians and vehicles until 12:00.
(ii) At 19:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the north entrance of the town of Teqoa and searched civilians and vehicles.
(iii) At 20:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the village of Deir Salah (east entrance to Beit Saghour) and searched civilians and vehicles.

Raid

• At 12:05, Israeli forces raided the city of Beit Jala, stormed into several civilian homes and withdrew at 15:00.

Attack

• At 15:40, Israeli forces positioned near Aida refugee camp north of Bethlehem fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Closure of main Roads

On 28 July 2016, Israeli forces closed Sidr Road in Beit Jala, the east entrance of the town of Zaatara, the east entrance of the town of Jenata, the entrance of the villages of Al-Khas and Numan, and south entrance of the village of Beit Tamur with cement blocks, as well as the north entrance of the town of Zaatara and east entrance of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.

HEBRON

Military Checkpoints

At 09:05, Israeli forces closed Abu Reesh checkpoint in the old city of Hebron and impeded flow of traffic. The checkpoint was reopened at a later time.

Flying Checkpoints

At 08:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Al-Fahs area south of the city of Hebron and searched civilians.

Raid

At 12:00, Israeli forces raided and patrolled the villages of Abda and Wadi Al-Shajneh.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.
Israeli forces broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from the position inside the Green Line towards Khan Younis. Israeli navy boats opened fire towards fishermen and fishing boat in Northern Gaza.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

• Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businessmen and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

(i) At 22:40, on 27 July 2016, Israeli navy opened fire towards Palestinian fishermen and fishing boats in Al-Waha northwest of the town of Beit Lahia, arrested 6 fishermen and confiscated their boat.
(ii) At 23:30 on 27 July 2016, Israeli navy opened fire towards Palestinian fishermen and fishing boats in Al-Soudaniya west of the town of Beit Lahia and caused damage to 1 fishing boat owned by civilian Iyad Rajab Abdel Munem Al-Hasi.

Detention

(i) At 14:00 on 26 July 2016, Israeli forces arrested at Beit Hanun ‘Erez” Crossing civilian (merchant) Shadi Mutawe Mohammad Al-Ghourani from Gaza.
(ii) The 6 fishermen arrested in Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahia are Mohammad Mahmoud Hihjazi Al-Loh, Khamis Awad Nimer Zaghra Bakr, Mahmoud Maher Mohammad Zaghra Bakr, Mohammad Rafat Radwan Bakr, Salim Fayiz Salim Abu Al-Sadeq and Mustafa Nael Mustafa Bakr.

Confiscation of Property

• At 22:40 on 27 July 2016, Israeli forces confiscated 1 fishing boat in Al-Waha area northwest of Beit Lahia town.

Destruction of Property

At 23:30 on 27 \July 2016, Israeli navy boats caused damage to fishing boat owned by civilian Iyad Rajab Abdel Munem Al-Hasi in Al-Soudaniya area west of Beit Lahia.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

• Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

• At 08:00 on 28 July 2016, Israeli forces opened fire from the position behind the Green Line towards agricultural land east of the town of Abassan.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

• Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
• Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
• Sufa Crossing is closed
. Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of fuel, construction material for internationally funded projects and other aggregates.
