Daily Report June 02, 2016

(i) On June 1st 2016, The Israeli army intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.

(i) Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city and at 00:15 , Israeli forces closed the checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic then reopened it at a later time.
(ii) On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.

(i) At 01:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Ram town, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 05:10.
(ii) At 02:30, Israeli forces raided Anata town and detained 2 residents.

(i) At 14:35, Israeli forces detained Khaled Bassam Khawies in Al-Tur neighbourhood in Jerusalem.
(ii) Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Raed Mustafa Halawa and Qassim Hamdan in Anata

At 09:00, Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
(ii) Since 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement block.

At 19:30, Israeli forces raided Um Safa village, temporarily detained 2 residents: Mustafa Mohammad Obiedat and Ziyad Mohammad Obiedat then released them at a later time.

Since December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area and declared the area a closed military zone.

The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.

At 17:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ti’inik village then searched residents and vehicles until 18:15.

At 04:25, Israeli raided Qabatiya town and detained a resident.

Israeli forces detained Faysal Mohammad Faysal Kameel in Qabatiya town.

Since 12:30 on March 15th 2016, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Al-Aqaba village with cement blocks.

At 07:45on May 31st 2016, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Tayasir checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and imped the free flow of traffic.

At 10:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Ja’roun junction located in North Tulkarem city then searched residents and vehicles until 11:25.

(i) At 22:05, Israeli forces raided Far’oun village.
(ii) At 02:50, Israeli forces raided Sayda village, detained 3 residents then withdrew at 03:30.

(i) Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
(ii) In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
(iii) Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate

(i) At 12:45, Israeli forces raided Jit village, stormed and searched a steel mill and temporarily detained Sameer Abdallah Thiyab Al-Sadah then released him at a later time.
(ii) At 04:20, Israeli forces raided Qalqiliya city and detained a resident.

Israeli forces temporarily detained Sameer Abdallah Thiyab Al-Sadah during their raid into Jit village then released him at a later time.

Israeli forces detained Islam Eyad Sha’ib in Qalqiliya city.

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
(ii) Since 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.

(i) At 10:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Beit Furiq town junction then searched residents and vehicles until 11:30.
(ii) At 13:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near “Shave Shamron” settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles until 17:30.
(iii) At 20:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Qusra village, detained a resident then withdrew at 22:40.

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
(ii) Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.

Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

At 02:20, Israeli forces raided Qarwat Bani Hassan town.

Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.

(i) The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
(ii) Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
(ii) Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.

(i) At 16:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Teqou’ town then searched residents and vehicles until 16:55.
(ii) At 17:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasnah area located near the entrance of Husan village then searched residents and vehicles.

(i) At 01:35, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city, stormed and searched a home then withdrew at 04:45.
(ii) At 02:35, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town, stormed and searched 2 homes then withdrew at 03:15.

(i) The Israeli army continues to close Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
(ii) Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

(i) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds.
(iii) The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds.

At 11:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Zif village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

(i) At dawn on June 1st 2016, Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar town and detained a resident.
(ii) At 00:15, Israeli forces raided Hebron city and summoned Mohammad Ghalib Ibrahim Abu Sbeih to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 02:45.

Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.
