WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure

(i) On May 27th 2016, The Israeli army intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.

Military Checkpoints

(i) Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
(ii) On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.

Attack

(i) At 17:00, Israeli forces positioned in the vicinity of Qalandiya checkpoint fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
(ii) At 21:30, Israeli forces positioned in Ras Kabsah area located in Abu Dis town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
(iii) On the evening of May 27th 2016, Israeli forces positioned in Silwan neighbourhood in Jerusalem city fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
(iv) On the evening of May 27th 2016, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Beit Suriq village fired live ammunition; rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Detention

At 17:40, Israeli forces detained Anas Ismail Musa (A resident of Al-Khader town in Bethlehem district) in Jerusalem city.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
(ii) Since 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement block.

Attack

At 16:15, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Jalazoun camp fired rubber coated steel bullets; stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured Yassin Mohammad Zied {After he was struck with a rubber coated steel bullet to the head}.

Detention

At 12:20, Israeli forces detained Fadi Khader Rajab Khalifah (A resident of Kafr Ni’meh village}as he was reporting to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

Demonstrations

(i) At 13:15, a demonstration took place in Bil’in Ni’lin village protesting against the construction of the wall during which they clashed with Israeli forces and as a result suffocated several residents from tear gas inhalation.
(ii) At 13:20, a demonstration took place in Ni’lin protesting against the construction of the wall during which they clashed with Israeli forces and as a result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

JENIN

Closure

On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area and declared the area a closed military zone.

Closure of main Roads

The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.

Closure of Wall Gates

Israeli forces continue to close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TUBAS

Closure of main Roads

Since 12:30 on March 15th 2016, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Al-Aqaba village with cement blocks.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Raid

At 02:15, Israeli forces raided Sayda village, detained a resident the withdrew at 05:15.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Mohammad Bassam Mohammad Ajjaj in Sayda village.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads

(i) Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
(ii) In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
(iii) Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Jit village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Demonstrations

At 13:00, a demonstration took place in Kafr Qaddum against the closure of the east entrance during which they clashed with Israeli forces tried to disrupt the demonstration by firing live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards demonstrators who attempted to reach they demonstration site and as a result left several other residents suffocating from tear gas inhalation.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
(ii) The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
(ii) Since 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.

Raid

At 04:25, Israeli forces raided Nablus city until 04:35.

Settlers Violence

At 19:00, Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Einbuis village and set fire to several Olive trees.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
(ii) Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

At 12:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near “Areil” settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Settlers Violence

At 21:20, Israeli settlers stoned vehicles travelling along Wadi Qana road {the main road connecting Salfit and Qalqiliya districts} and as a result damaged a vehicle owned by Odeh Yunis Abu Nassar {A resident of Deir Istyia}.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:20, again at 00:15 and again at 06:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 22:30.

Detention

At 19:00, Israeli forces positioned at Allenby bridge detained Rami Sati Al-Sa’di {A resident of Jenin city} as she was returning from Jordan.

BETHLEHEM

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
(ii) Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
(ii) Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 18:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Teqou town then searched residents and vehicles until 21:00.
(ii) At 20:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Dar Salah village located at the east entrance of Beit Sahour then searched residents and vehicles until 22:00.

Raid

At 17:20, Israeli forces raided Teqou’ town and clashed with several residents.

Attack

At 20:40, Israeli forces positioned in the vicinity of Billal Bin Rabah mosque located in North Bethlehem opened fire towards Fadi Issa Attiq (14 years old) and as a result wounded his leg.

Injuries

Fadi Issa Attiq (14 years old) was wounded in his leg after Israeli forces opened fire towards him in North Bethlehem.

Temporary Detention

(i) At 16:55, Israeli forces positioned at Container checkpoint temporarily detained Faris Bajis Nakhlah {A resident of Al-Jalazoun camp in Ramallah &Al-Bireh districts} then released him at 23:00.
(ii) At 19:00, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance of Teqou’ detained Sufiyan Odah Awadallah Al-Amour {A resident of Teqou’} then released him at 19:25.

HEBRON

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
(ii) Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds.
(iii) The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds.

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Halhul bridge then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At dawn on May 27th2016, Israeli forces raided Hebron city and detained a resident.
(ii) At 03:45 on May 28th 2016, Israeli forces raided Dura town until 04:30.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Wafa Saleem Attah Al-Suri in Hebron city.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Gaza and Central Gaza and as a result injured a resident.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

At 08:00 on May 27th 2016, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area in west Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
(ii) Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 18:00 on May 27th 2016, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green line opened fire towards several residents located in the vicinity Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing located in east Al-Shija’iya neighbourhood in east Gaza city as they were participating in demonstrations protesting the Israeli Military and settler attack on Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and as a result injured a resident.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

(i) At 16:00 on May 27th 2016, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green line opened fire towards several residents located in the vicinity of east Al-Buriej camp as they were participating in demonstrations protesting the Israeli Military and settler attack on Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and as a result injured a resident.
(ii) At 03:45 on May 28th 2016, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Maghazi camp.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.
