WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure

(i) On May26th 2016, the Israeli army continues to intensify their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.

Military Checkpoints

(i) Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
(ii) On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.

Raid

At dawn on May 27th 2016, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village and detained 2 residents including a woman.

Attack

(i) At 15:00, Israeli forces positioned in Tur neighbourhood in Jerusalem city fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
(ii) At 15:00, Israeli forces positioned in Abu Dis town fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Alaa Abdel-Nasser Obied and Mohammad Alaa Dirbas in Al-Eisawiya village.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:30, Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
(ii) At 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement blocks for alleged gunfire.

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Taybeh town junction located along the main road connecting Ramallah and Jericho districts then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 17:35, Israeli forces raided Ain Qinya village and stormed 3 homes.
(ii) At 05:00, Israeli forces raided Qubar village, detained a Palestinian Intelligence officer and summoned Yusef Ahmad Mash’al to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
(iii) At 07:25, Israeli forces raided Silwad town and detained a National Security Force officer.

Detention

(i) At 20:45, Israeli forces positioned near Um Safa village detained Ibrahim Musa Obiyat (A National Security Force officer).
(ii) Israeli forces detained Taymour Hisham Al-Barghouthi in Qubar village.
(iii) Israeli forces detained Mahmoud Jum’a Saleh Hamad in Silwad town.

JENIN

Closure

On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area and declared the area a closed military zone.

Closure of main Roads

The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.

Closure of Wall Gates

Israeli forces continue to close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TUBAS

Closure of main Roads

Since 12:30 on March 15th 2016, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Al-Aqaba village with cement blocks.

Confiscation of Property

On May 26th 2016, Israeli forces stormed Ras Al-Hamra village located in the North Jordan valley area and confiscated a agricultural tractor owned by Ahmad Thiyab Abu Khayzaran as he was paving a agricultural road and also confiscated fertilizer equipment owned by Bilal Lafi Sawafta.

Assaults on Property

On May 25th 2016, Israeli forces served military orders for the removal of 43 families from their homes for a period of 12 hours on May 30th &30th and on June1st 2016 for alleged military exercises in Hamsa , Hamamat Al-Maleh, Al-Maytah and Al-Burj area in the north Jordan valley area in Tubas district.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 10:30, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic until 11:45.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Ahmad Riyad Mahmoud Radad (A resident of Sayda village as he was reporting to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads

(i) Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
(ii) In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
(iii) Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along the main road connecting Qalqiliya and Nablus then searched residents and vehicles.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
(ii) The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
(ii) Since 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.

Military Checkpoints

(i) At 11:400, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Huwara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.
(ii) At 14:30 and 20:30, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Beit Furiq checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 21:15.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 10:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Awarta village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 12:20.
(ii) At 10:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Awarta village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 12:40.

Raid

At 17:30, Israeli forces raided Qablan village, stormed a home then withdrew at 18:40.

Detention

At 03:00 on May 26th 2016, Israeli forces detained Mustafa Abdel-Raheem Mustafa Wawi {A resident of Deir Sharaf village} during their raid into Nablus city as mentioned in the previous report.

Destruction of Property

On May 26th 2016, Israeli forces stormed Abu Safi area located in east Duma village and served a military order for the removal of a Electricity Network and halt construction on a road approximately 600m long for allegedly being built without a licence because of its location in area C.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
(ii) Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.

Military Checkpoints

At 10:50, Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 12:20.

Temporary Detention

(i) At 12:55, Israeli forces positioned at the north entrance of Salfit city temporarily detained Anan Musa (A resident of Bruqin town) then released him at 15:00.
(ii) At 00:50, Israeli forces temporarily detained Nabeel Mohammad Abdel Rahman (A resident of Beit Lid town in Tulkarem district) then released him at 01:25.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al Fasayil village then searched residents and vehicles.

Settlers Violence

At 24:00, a Israeli settler vehicle travelling along road (90) near Al-Jiftlik village ran over 2 residents: Mohammad Adli Zuhdi Hamad and Rafat Jawdat Jameel Hamad {both residents of Beit Dajan village in Nablus district} and as a result left them hospitalised with contusions and fractures.

BETHLEHEM

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
(ii) Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
(ii) Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires and also closed the road between Surif town and Al-Jub’a village with cement blocks.

Flying Checkpoints

At 08:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Dar Salah village located at the east entrance of Beit Sahur city then searched residents and vehicles until 10:30.

Raid

(i) At 16:30, Israeli forces raided Abu Najim village, stormed a Internet Café then withdrew at 17:00.
(ii) At 05:15, Israeli forces raided Beit Sahour city and detained 2 residents.

Detention

(i) At 23:25, Israeli forces positioned at Container checkpoint detained Mahmoud Abdel-Qadder Ida’is (A resident of Bani Na’im town in Hebron District).
(ii) Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Rami Mohammad Abdallah Al-Harini and Shadi Mohammad Abdallah Al-Harini

HEBRON

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
(ii) Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds.
(iii) The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds.

Detention

At 15:30, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Ibrahimi mosque in the old city of Hebron detained Alladin Abdel-Rauf Abu Shkidium.

Temporary Detention

At 11:00, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Ibrahimi mosque in the old city of Hebron temporarily detained the child Sarah Salah Sader (12 years old) and Mahrat Maher Abdel-Aziz Burqan then released them at 11:55.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.

• The Israeli Military broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Khan Yunis.

• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores Gaza.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
(ii) Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 12:00 on May 26th 2016, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats of the Shores of Gaza city

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 09:10, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Khaz’aa town.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is open for the entry of Humanitarian aid, Desil fuel for Electrical Generators and the entry of 13 truckloads of Vegetables from the West Bank.
