WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure (per District)

(i) On April 26th 2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.

Military Checkpoints

(i) Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
(ii) On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 08:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Hizma village then searched residents and vehicles.
(ii) At 00:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Jaba’ village round about then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) On the evening of April 26th 2016, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village, stormed a home and detained 2 residents.
(ii) At 01:15, Israeli forces Kafr Aqab village until 03:30.

Detention

(i) At 09:00, Israeli forces detained Ahmad Bader {A Security Guard at Al-Aqsa Mosque compound} in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem.
(ii) At 09:00, Israeli forces detained Adam Al-Salaymeh in Ras Al-Amoud neighbourhood in Jerusalem.
(iii) Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Jallal Al-Qaysi and Billal Al-Qaysi in Al-Eisawiya village.

Attack

(i) At 08:00, Israeli forces positioned in Silwan neighbourhood in Jerusalem city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several school children {who were walking to school} for alleged stoning.
(ii) At 20:10, Israeli forces positioned at Ras Al-Kabsah area in Abu Dis town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Deportation

At 20:30 on April 25th 2016, Israeli forces in Jerusalem city served military orders for the expulsion of 3 residents: Muhanad Al-Ansari, Omar Al-Zaghir and Ahmad Badr preventing them from entering Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem for a period of 2 weeks.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:00, Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers during which Israeli Forces assaulted several Security guards at Al-Aqsa mosque compound and as a result injured Omar Al-Kisawani (A Aqsa mosque Director General } and several Security Guards.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
(ii) At 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement blocks for alleged gunfire.

Attack

(i) At 10:50, Israeli forces positioned in the vicinity of “Ofar” Military Base/Prison fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents who participating in a demonstration in solidarity with Omar Nazal { A journalists} who was detained by Israeli forces.
(ii) At 14:50, Israeli forces positioned in the vicinity of “Pesagout” settlement located in the east area of Al-Bireh city fired rubber coated steel bullets stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Settlers Attacks

At 17:00,a Israeli settler from “Nerya” settlement outpost located near Ras Kar Kar village stole 4 goats owned by Nabil Ahmad Hashim Samhan.

Raid

At 23:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Nabi Saleh village until 00:10.

JENIN

Closure of District

On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area and declared the area a closed military zone

Closure of main Roads

The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 08:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Arraba town junction then searched residents and vehicles.
(ii) At 11:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ya’bad town junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Closure of Wall Gates

Israeli forces continue to close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TUBAS

Closure of Roads

Since 12:30 on March 15th 2016, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Al-Aqaba village with cement blocks.

Military Checkpoints

At 07:30 on April 26th 2016, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Tayassir checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 09:30.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Raid

At 00:40, Israeli forces raided Irtah neighbourhood in Tulkarem, stormed and searched several homes then withdrew at 02:45

QALQILIYA

Closure of main Roads

(i) Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
(ii) In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
(iii) Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 15:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun then searched residents and vehicles.
(ii) At 21:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Jit village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 23:15.

Raid

At 02:20, Israeli forces raided Qalqiliya city until 04:30.

Closure of Wall Gates

1. م(i) The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
(ii) The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure (per District)

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.

Closure of Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
(ii) Since 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
(iv) Since 18:30 on January 19th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Huwara and Walada village with dirt mounds.

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Deir Sharaf village junction located along the main road connecting Nablus and Tulkarem then searched residents and vehicles until 16:30.

Raid

At 09:55, Israeli forces raided Sabustiya village as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed archaeological sites in the area and then withdrew at 16:50.

Settlers Attacks

At 09:30, Israeli settlers stormed Al-Masudiya area located near Burqa village and installed several tents then performed Talmudic rituals.

SALFIT

Closure of District

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
(ii) Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.

Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.

BETHLEHEM

Closure of Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
(ii) Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

Closure of Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
(ii) Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.
(iv) At 09:15 on February 16th 2016, Israeli forces closed the bypass road connecting Za’tara and Ush Al-Ghurab area located in east Beit Sahur town with dirt mounds.
(v) On February 25th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main entrance gate leading to Um Al-Rakaba area in Al-Khader.
(vi) At 22:40 on March 17th 2016, Israeli forces closed all entrances of Beit Fajjar town and prevented residents from entering or exiting the town.
(vii) At 12:25 on March 18th 2016, Israeli forces closed the north entrance of Marah Rabah village which leads to Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 18:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Husan village then searched residents and vehicles until 18:50.
(ii) At 19:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Teqou’ town then searched residents and vehicles until 22:25.
(iii) At 22:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Dar Salah village located at the east entrance of Beit Sahur town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 11:25, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader town during which a Israeli Military vehicle ran over the child: Mohammad Hussien Ali Issa (10 years old) near Al-Madaris {Schools} area and as a result left him hospitalized with contusions.

HEBRON

Closure of District

(i) The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
(ii) Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

Closure of Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds.
(iii) The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 08:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Al-Samou’ and Al-Thahriya town then searched residents and vehicles until 11:00.
(ii) At 13:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Dura town then searched residents and vehicles.
(iii) At 20:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Bani Na’im town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 08:30, Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar and detained a resident.
(ii) At 11:30, Israeli forces raided Hebron city as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed “Anatiles tomb” during which they occupied several homes and converted their rooftops into Military posts then withdrew at 15:00.
(iii) At 00:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Majd village until 03:10.
(iv) At 00:25, Israeli forces raided Beit Awwa town until 03:15.
(v) At 04:15, Israeli forces raided Al-Shiyoukh town, stormed and searched a home and detained a National Security Force officer.

House Occupation

At 12:45, Israeli forces stormed Tel Al-Rumayda neighborhood in the old city of Hebron and occupied a home owned by Taysir Rasmi Omar Zahada and converted its rooftop into a military post.

Detention

(i) Israeli forces detained Abdel-Rahman Nayef Salibi in Beit Ummar town.
(ii) Israeli forces detained Sami Nayef Hassasneh in Al-Shiyoukh town.

Since the evening of April 25th 2016, Israeli forces closed Al-Ibrahimi mosque compound in the old city of Hebron thus preventing worshipers from conducting prayers inside the mosque in order to allow a group of Israeli settlers to conduct Telmudic rituals inside the mosque.

Settlers Attacks

At 09:15, Israeli settlers from “Betar” settelemnt located in south Yatta town stormed agricultural land in the area and prevented Ali Mohammad Rashid (A resident of Yatta) as he was farming his land located near the settlement then withdrew at a later time.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.

• Israeli forces broke the cease fire agreement by raiding and opening fire towards Gaza and Khan Yunis district.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores North Gaza and Gaza.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

At 13:30 on April 26th 2016, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya, temporarily detained 2 fishermen: Mu’nis Abed Ramadan Ziyad and Ahed Ziyad Ziyad then released them at a later time after confiscating their fishing boat

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
(ii) Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Raid

At 06:00 on April 26th 2016, Israeli forces escorting military bulldozers stormed 50m into the vicinity of Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing located in east Al-Shuja’iya neighbourhood in east Gaza city and levelled a plot of land then withdrew at 14:30.

Attack

(i) At 09:00 on April 26th 2016, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Zhra’ city located in south Gaza.
(ii) At 16:00 on April 26th 2016, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Gaza city.

KHAN YUNIS

Raid

At 17:10 on April 26th 2016, Israeli forces escorting Military bulldozers stormed 50m into the vicinity of Al-Fakhari town and leveled a plot of land then withdrew at 18:00.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is open for the entry Humanitarian assistance.
