WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure

(i) On April 3rd 2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers under the age of 50 from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.

Military Checkpoints

(i) Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
(ii) On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 14:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Bir Nabala bridge then searched residents and vehicles.
(ii) At 01:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Al-Ras Al-Jabal area in Jabal Al-Mukabir neighborhood in Jerusalem city then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 20:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village and clashed with several residents.
(ii) At 01:40, Israeli forces raided Al-Ram town then stormed and searched a Butcher Shop after breaking the front entrance.

Detention

At 14:30, Israeli forces positioned at Qalandiya checkpoint detained 2 children: Salah Majed Mateir (16 years old) and Ahmad Majed Mateir (17 years old).

House Occupation

At 21:30, Israeli forces stormed Sur Bahar village and served a military order for the demolition of a home owned by the family of Abdel-Rahman Dawiyat {A Palestinian Detainee} in 24 hours.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:00, Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
(ii) Since 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement blocks for alleged gunfire.

(i) At 09:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Ur Al-Tahta village then searched residents and vehicles until 10:30.
(ii) At 10:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Atarah bridge , temporarily detained Rami Mahmoud Mustafa Sajdiya (A resident of Beituniya) then released him after assaulting him and withdrew at 11:20.
(iii) At 17:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Silwad town junction then searched residents and vehicles.
(iv) At 17:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ein Sinya village junction located along the main road connecting Ramallah and Nablus then searched residents and vehicles

Raid

At dawn on April 4th 2016, Israeli forces raided Silwad town and detained a resident.

Detention

(i) On April 3rd 2016, Israeli forces detained Rabah Kafiya (A resident of Al-Amari camp in Al-Bireh city).
(ii) Israeli forces detained Abdel-Rahim Bassam Hamad in Silwad town.

Settlers Violence

At 08:55, Israeli settlers stormed Deir Jrier village then were forced out by local residents.

JENIN

Closure

Since December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area and declared the area a closed military zone.

Closure of main Roads

The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan and the south entrance of Ya’bad.

Raid

At 02:10, Israeli forces Qabatiya town, demolished 3 homes owned by the families of 3 residents: Ahmad Najeh Abu Al-Rub, Ahmad Najeh Zakarneh and Mohammad Ahmad Kamil{who were killed by Israeli forces} during which they clashed with several residents and as a result injured 2 residents then withdrew at 06:15.

House Demolition

Israeli Forces demolished 3 homes owned by the families of 3 residents: Ahmad Najeh Abu Al-Rub, Ahmad Najeh Zakarneh and Mohammad Ahmad Kamil{who were killed by Israeli forces} .

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 residents.

Closure of Wall Gates

Israeli forces continue too close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TUBAS

Closure of Wall Gates

Since March 15th 2016, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Aqaba village with cement blocks.

Raid

(i) At 09:40, Israeli forces raided Khirbiet Ras Al-Ahmar village located in the North Jordan valley then took photographs of the area.
(ii) At 12:00, Israeli forces raided Yarza village and verbally warned several residents regarding military training exercises in the area.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 08:50 and again at 15:40, Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic until 17:10.

Flying Checkpoints

At 13:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Quffin town then searched residents and vehicles until 14:55.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads

(i) Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
(ii) In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
(iii) Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) 11:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ras Attiya village then searched residents and vehicles.
(ii) At 17:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Jit village and impeded the free flow of traffic.
(iii) At 22:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Azzun town bridge located along the main road connecting Qalqiliya and Tulkarem then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 12:00, Israeli forces raided Azzun Atma village, detained a resident and confiscated a vehicle owned by Mohammad Rashid Ammar, stormed a Grocery store, confiscated surveillance camera footage and again at 03:00 raided the area and stormed and searched the local village council office and stormed 2 homes.
(ii) At 12:30, Israeli forces raided Ras Atiya village.
(iii) At 01:25, Israeli forces raided Qalqiliya city, stormed and searched a home, detained a resident then withdrew at 04:00.

Confiscation of Property

Israeli force confiscated surveillance camera footage from confiscated surveillance camera footage during their raid into Azzun Atma village.

Detention

(i) Israeli forces detained Ammar Ismail Al-Shiekh (A resident of Sinariya village).
(ii) Israeli forces detained Hassan Tallal Jaser Taha in Qalqiliya city.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
(ii) The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the roads of Til-Burin and Beit Furik-Salem; the settler bypass road connecting the village of Deir al Hatab to the settlement of Alon Moreh; the road connecting the town of ‘Aqraba to the village of Osrin; and the detour road between the town of Qabalan and the village of Osrin.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
(iii) At 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
(iv) On November 29th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Burin, Awarta and Osirin as well as the agricultural bypass road connecting Aqraba and Qabalan village with dirt mounds.
(v) At 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
(vi) At 18:30 on January 19th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Huwara and Walada village with dirt mounds.

Military Checkpoints

At 14:20, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Huwara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 17:00.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 09:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Einbus village then searched residents and vehicles.
(ii) At 09:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Beita town junction then searched residents and vehicles until 12:00.
(iii) At 17:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Deir Sharaf village junction located along the main road connecting Nablus and Tulkarem then searched residents and vehicles.
(iv) At 21:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near “Yitzhar” settlement junction located in North Huwara town then searched residents and vehicles until 22:30.

Raid

(i) At 09:40, Israeli forces raided Huwara town, forced several merchant shops owners to close their stores, stormed and searched a home, temporarily detained 2 residents: Qusay Salah Odeh and Yazen Abdel-Fattah Odeh then released them at a later time.
(ii) At 01:55, Israeli forces raided Nablus city, detained 3 residents including a University Professor then withdrew at 03:10.
(iii) At dawn on April 4th 2016, Israeli forces raided Duma village and detained a resident.

Detention

(i) Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Adnan Asfour, Mustafa Mohammad Al-Shunar (A University Proffessor) and Najlah Muntassir in Nablus city.
(ii) Israeli forces detained Wiissam Dawabsha in Duma village.

Settlers Violence

At 14:20, a Israeli settler positioned on the main road in Central Huwara town pointed his gun towards several residents.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
(ii) Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.

Closure of Checkpoints

Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Raid

At dawn on April 3rd 2016, Israeli forces raided Bidya town and summoned Karam Mohammad Muslih Da’as to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

Detention

At 16:30, Israeli forces positioned at Za’tara checkpoint detained Husam Abdel-Rahman Mohammad Al-Dik (A resident of Huwara town in Nablus district) for allegedly attempting to stab a Israeli soldier {As alleged by the Israeli Military}.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.

BETHLEHEM

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
(ii) Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.

(iv) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.
(v) At 09:15 on February 16th 2016, Israeli forces closed the bypass road connecting Za’tara and Ush Al-Ghurab area located in east Beit Sahur town with dirt mounds.
(vi) On February 25th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main steel entrance gate leading to Um Al Rakaba area in Al-Khader town.
(vii) At 22:40 on March 17th 2016, Israeli forces closed all entrances leading to Beit Fajjar thus preventing residents or vehicles from entering or exiting.
(viii) At 12:25 on March 18th 2016, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Marah Rabah village.

Flying Checkpoints

At 12:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Za’tara town then searched residents and vehicles until 16:00.

Raid

(i) At 03:30 on April 3rd 2016, Israeli forces raided Jabal Handara area in Bethlehem, summoned 2 residents: Mohammad Waleed Awaydah Subuh and Yunis Suliman Odah Abiyat.
(ii) At 01:20, Israeli forces raided Teqou’ town, detained 2 children then withdrew at 05:00.
(iii) At 02:15, Israeli forces raided Ayda camp in Bethlehem city, detained a child then withdrew at 05:00.

Detention

(i) Israeli forces detained Loai Habis Dakhlalah Al-Amour (17 years old) and Malik Jameel Mohammad Abu Mifrih (17 years old) in Teqou’ town.
(ii) Israeli forces detained Mohammad Ra’fat Issa Abu Sarour (16 years old) in Al-Ayda camp

Temporary Detention

At 19:45, Israeli forces positioned near Kafr Itsiyon temporarily detained Mazen Bassam Abu Khdeir (A resident of Ayda camp in Bethlehem) and released him at 22:00.

HEBRON

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
(ii) Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds.
(iii) The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds

Raid

(i) At 10:40 and again at 01:20, Israeli forces raided Hebron city, stormed and searched a home then withdrew at 04:50.
(ii) At 01:20, Israeli forces raided Al-Thahriya town, detained a resident then withdrew at 04:50.
(iii) At 06:40, Israeli forces raided Surif town demolished a home owned by Majdi Mahmoud Ghanimat for allegedly being built without a licence because of its location near the Wall.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Munir Siman Eid Al-Tal in Al-Thahriya

Temporary Detention

At 08:45, Israeli forces temporarily detained Shadi Issa Manasrah (A Civil Defence Force officer) then released him at 09:15.

Settlers Violence

At 15:30, Israeli settlers positioned in Musafir area located in east Yatta town temporally seized 100 goats owned by Jihad Ibrahim Abu Sabha,Yusef Abd Mur, Ibrahim Abed Mur and Badawi Abed Mur.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month and at 03:00 on April 3rd 2016, the first phase for increasing the fishing limit from 6 nautical miles to 9 nautical miles stretching from Wadi Gaza shores to the Palestinian-Egyptian border in south Gaza.

• Israeli forces broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Gaza, Central Gaza and Rafah.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire towards North Gaza.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

At 19:00, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in West Beit Lahiya.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
(ii) Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

(i) At 06:00 on April 3rd 2016, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural in east Jahr Al-Dik town located in south east Gaza city.
(ii) At 16:40, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural in east Jahr Al-Dik town located in south east Gaza city.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 00:30 on April 3rd 2016, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural in east Al-Buriej camp.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is open for the entry Humanitarian assistance.

Attack

At 16:30, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land located in the vicinity of Sufa Crossing located in North East Rafah.
