WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure

(i) On January 29th 2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers under the age of 50 from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.
(iii) On November 16th 2015, Israeli forces closed the south entrance of Jabaal Al-Mukabir neighbourhood in Jerusalem which leads to “Armon Hantsiv” settlement with cement blocks.

Closure of Checkpoints

(i) Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
(ii) On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.

Raid

At 01:50, Israeli forces raided Al-Ram and detained a resident after storming their home then withdrew at 05:30.

Attack

(i) At 16:20, Israeli forces positioned in Ras Al-Kabsah and Al-Makbarah area’s located between Al-Eizariya and Abu Dis fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured Sharif Mohammad Daoud Muh’sin.
(ii) At 16:40, Israeli forces positioned near Abu Dis fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Mohammad Fayez Suliman Ka’abneh in Al-Ram.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
(ii) On December 15th 2015, Israeli forces closed the West entrance of Al-Labban Al-Gharbi village with cement blocks.
(iii) On January 27th 2016, Israeli forces closed Beit Ur Al-Tahta village junction which leads to road (443) with cement blocks.
(iv) At 11:30 on January 28th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road located between Deir Ibzi’ and “Doliv” settlement with cement blocks.

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 05:00 on January 29th 2016, Israeli forces raided Silwad and summoned 2 residents: Mohammad Salah Hamad and Ma’moun Ameen Hamad to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

Attack

(i) At 12:45, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of “Ofar” military base fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 residents: Ehab Ahmad Abdel-Ra’ouf Khatib and Abdel-Lattif Sami Khatib.
(ii) At 15:00, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Jalazoun camp fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
(iii) At 16:00, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Silwad fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
(iv) At 17:35, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Kafr Malik village fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Demonstrations

(i) At 13:20, a demonstration took place in Al-Nabi Saleh village protesting against land confiscation for the purpose of settlement construction during which they clashed with Israeli forces and as a result injured 3 residents including a child and a Woman: Mohammad Billal Al-Tamimi, Bushra Abdel-Kareem Al-Tamimi and Akram Abdallah Dakhlallah and also injured a Israeli Peace Activist left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
(ii) At 13:40, a demonstration took place in Bil’in protesting against the construction of the wall during which they clashed with Israeli forces and as a result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

JENIN

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.
(ii) Since the evening of November 25th 2012, Israeli forces closed the western entrance of Ya’bad.

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Silat Al-Thaher village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) On the morning of January 29th 2016, Israeli forces raided Barta’a Al-Sharqiya and confiscated 2 rental vehicles.
(ii) On the evening of January 29th 2016, Israeli forces raided Ya’bad and clashed with several residents.

Settlers Violence

At 12:40, Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Araba village and chopped down 10 Olive trees owned by Ahmad Ali Abu Salah.

Closure of Wall Gates

Israeli forces continue too close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TUBAS

Confiscation of Property

On January 29th 2016, Israeli forces confiscated three Trucks and three Bulldozers as they were conducting construction work on a road then temporarily detained the construction workers operating the vehicles and released them at later time.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads

(i) Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
(ii) In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
(iii) Since 16:55 on December 18th 2014, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with dirt mounds
(iv) Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Al-Fanduq and Haja village.

Demonstrations

At 13:20, a demonstration took place in Kafr Qaddum against the closure of the east entrance during which they clashed with Israeli forces tried to disrupt the demonstration rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards demonstrators who attempted to reach they demonstration site and as a result injured left several demonstrators suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

NABLUS

Closure

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the roads of Til-Burin and Beit Furik-Salem; the settler bypass road connecting the village of Deir al Hatab to the settlement of Alon Moreh; the road connecting the town of ‘Aqraba to the village of Osrin; and the detour road between the town of Qabalan and the village of Osrin.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
(iii) At 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
(iv) On November 29th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Burin, Awarta and Osirin as well as the agricultural bypass road connecting Aqraba and Qabalan village with dirt mounds.
(v) At 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
(vi) At 18:30 on January 19th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Huwara and Walada village with dirt mounds.

Closure of Checkpoints

At 13:35, Israeli forces closed Beit Furiq checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to allow Israeli Settlers to perform Talmudic rituals in the area.

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Qabalan and Al-Sawiya village the searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 15:20, Israeli forces raided Deir Al-Hatab village.

Temporary Detention

(i) At 16:25, Israeli forces temporarily detained 3 residents: Sultan Abd Awwad, Nabeel Mohammad Hussien Ishtayeh and Wajdi Hussein Ishtayeh as they were planting Olive trees in agricultural land in Salem village then released them at 17:35.
(ii) At 19:00, Israeli forces positioned at Beit Furiq checkpoint temporarily detained 3 residents: Rami Ziyad Dwikat, Alaa Hussien Khadr and Sa’ed Hussien Khadr then released them at 19:20.

Detention

On January 28th 2016, Israeli forces positioned at Huwara checkpoint detained Mustafa Waleed Mahdawi.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
(ii) On 15.04.2012, the Israeli army has opened the northern entrance to Salfit city to civilian which was closed since the year 2000 and prevented access from 08:00 until 09:20.
(iii) Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.

Closure of Checkpoints

Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Raid

(i) At 13:30, Israeli forces raided Kafr Al-Dik, temporarily detained Mohammad Majed Mustafa Musa then released him at 16:20.
(ii) At 00:30, Israeli forces raided Salfit.

Settlers Violence

At 10:45, Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Kafr Al-Dik and prevented Wajdi Saqr Al-Dik from gaining access to his agricultural land located near “Bada’wil” settlement.

JERICHO

Closure of Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along road (90) near New’meh village then searched residents and vehicle until 10:45.

Settlers Violence

At 15:20, Israeli settlers stormed Fasayil village until 15:35.

BETHLEHEM

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
(ii) Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the road leading to “Newe Daniyyel” settlement and agricultural land in Al-Khader; a road between Um Tuba and Wadi Al-Hums: Wadi Fukin, Al-Jaba, the Green Line; a road between Za’tara and a detour road, and a road between Taqou and Khirbet Al-Deir with cement blocks.
(iii) Since August 2nd 2012, Israeli forces closed a road leading to Beit Jalla.
(iv) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.
(v) Since June 3rd 2013, the Israeli army closed the road connecting Nihalin and road 60 with dirt mounds.
(vi) Since 13:20 on September 29th 2013, the Israeli army closed a road leading to 50 acres of agricultural land in Wadi Salem area in Al-Khadr with dirt mounds.
(vii) Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Surif and Al-Jub’a village with dirt mounds.
(viii) On January 28th 2014, Israeli forces closed the steel gate at the entrance of Nihalin { replacing the dirt mounds placed at the entrance since the year 2002} and placed time schedule for opening the gate from 06:00 until 14:00 on a daily bases.
(ix) Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
(x) At 15:30 on November 20th 2015, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Jinata and the entrance of Marah Rabah village with dirt mounds.
(xi) At 13:10 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Marah Rabah village with dirt mounds.
(xii) At 18:00 on November 27th 2015, Israeli forces closed Bararat junction located in Ras area in Beit Jallah with cement blocks.
(xiii) At 14:50 on November 28th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Um Al-Raqaba area located in Al-Khader with cement blocks.
(xiv) At 13:45 on January 17th 2016, Israeli forces closed the south entrance of Nihalin village with a steel gate.
(xv) At 20:00 on January 18th 2016, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Jinata with earth mounds.

Raid

(i) At 03:10 on January 29th 2016 and again at 14:10, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem and detained a resident.
(ii) At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Taqou’, stormed a home and summoned Mohammad Ibrahim Al-Amour to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
(iii) At dawn on January 30th 2016, Israeli forces raided Marah Rabah village and summoned Khalil Ahmad Taqatqa to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
(iv) At dawn on January 30th 2016, Israeli forces raided Al-Duhisheh camp in Bethlehem clashed with several residents as they stormed several home and summoned three residents: Amal Mohammad Aja’meh, Abdel-Kareem Ahmad Abed and Mustafa Al-Akhras to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
(v) At dawn on January 30th 2016, Israeli forces raided Al-Obidiya village and summoned Mahmoud Jamal Shantiya to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

Attack

(i) At 14:20, Israeli forces positioned near Billal Bin Rabah mosque located in North Bethlehem fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured three residents: Ameen Suliman Al-Amarin and left 10 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
(ii) At 14:40, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Beit Fajjar fired rubber coasted steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
(iii) At 14:50, Israeli forces positioned at the west entrance of Taqou’ fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
(iv) At 15:20, Israeli forces positioned in Um Al-Rakabah area in Al-Khadr fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured a resident and left 5 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Rashed Ibrahim Rashed in Bethlehem.

HEBRON

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
(ii) Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Al-Karmil villages.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to close all roads leading to Road # 60 as well as detour roads along the settler bypass road leading to Yatta town.
(iv) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds a detour road leading to e to Al-Simiya village, the southern entrance of Al-Samou’ and the entrance of Beit Annun with cement blocks.
(v) At 05:50 on November 5th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance leading Farsh Al-Hawa area in Hebron with Cement blocks.
(vi) At 10:30 on November 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the junction located near “Hagi” settlement located in south Hebron with cement blocks.
(vii) At 21:00 on November 11th 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Beit Awwa and Al-Majd village with cement block and dirt mounds.
(viii) On December 9th 2015, Israeli forces closed a road near Jabal Jallis area located in the old city of Hebron and closed the bypass road.

Raid

(i) At dawn on January 30th 2016, Israeli forces raided Hebron, stormed several homes and summoned Mohammad Sadeq Al-Qawasmi to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
(ii) At dawn on January 30th 2016, Israeli forces raided Beit Awwa and stormed a home.

Settlers Violence

At 15:00, Israeli settlers stormed Al-Kasarat area located in the south area of Hebron city and opened fire.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.

• Israeli forces broke the cease-fire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Gaza and Central Gaza and as a result injured seven residents.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Beit Hanun (Erez) open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businessmen and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

(i) At 15:00, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents in the vicinity of Beit Hanun (Erez) Crossing point as they were participating in demonstration protesting against the continues Israeli Military and settler assault on Al-Aqsa mosque compound and as a result suffocated 2 residents from tear gas inhalation.
(ii) At 15:00, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents in the vicinity of Beit Hanun (Erez) Crossing point as they were participating in demonstration protesting against the continues Israeli Military and settler assault on Al-Aqsa mosque compound.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

• Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
• Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 15:00, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards several residents in east Al-Buriej camp as they were protesting against Israeli assault on Al-Aqsa mosque compound and against Palestinian citizens.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.
