WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure

a. On January 24th 2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers under the age of 50 from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
b. The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
c. The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

Closure of main Roads

• The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
• The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.

Closure of Checkpoints

• Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
• On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.

Raid

At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village, detained two residents including a child after storming and searching their homes and summoned Khalil Nassr to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

Detention

Israeli forces detained the child Hamada Mohammad Hariz and Mohammad Awni Atiyah in Al-Eisawiya village.

Deportation

On January 24th 2016, Israeli Military courts in Jerusalem issued court orders for the release of 2 children: Majd Abu Khdeir (15 years old) and Alaa Abu Khdier (16 years old) {residents of Shu’fat neighbourhood in Jerusalem} who were detained by Israeli forces on January 14th 2016 for stoning the light railway train in Jerusalem} and imposed a house arrest and expulsion outside of Jerusalem as well as imposing a financial penalty of 5000 NIS.

Attack

At 09:00, Israeli forces positioned near Abu Dis fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 residents and left 3 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:30, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.

Closure of Wall Gates

• The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
• The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
(ii) On December 15th 2015, Israeli forces closed the West entrance of Al-Labban Al-Gharbi village with cement blocks.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 12:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Atarah then searched residents and vehicles until 14:00.
(ii) At 13:50, Israeli force sets up a checkpoint at Ein Sinya village roundabout then searched residents and vehicles until 17:00.
(iii) At 13:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Silwad and Yabroud village then searched residents and vehicles until 17:00.

Raid

(i) At 22:30, Israeli forces raided Ein Arik village {for the alleged shooting towards an Israeli settler vehicle near “Dolev” settlement near Al-Janiya village} and searched several vehicles and merchant shops and inspected surveillance camera footage then withdrew at 01:45.
(ii) At 23:40, Israeli forces raided Kafr Ni’meh village {for the alleged shooting towards an Israeli settler vehicle near “Dolev” settlement near Al-Janiya village} searched several vehicles and merchant shops and inspected surveillance camera footage then withdrew at 01:45.

JENIN

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.
(ii) Since the evening of November 25th 2012, Israeli forces closed the western entrance of Ya’bad.

Flying Checkpoints

At 11:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Jaba’ then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 04:00, Israeli forces raided Jenin camp, clashed with several residents as they stormed several homes and detained 4 residents.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 4 residents: Majd Adnan Naghanighiya, Imad Omar Abu Habjah, Karam Mohammad Abu Atiyah and Rami Salem Al-Sa’di in Jenin camp.

Closure of Wall Gates

Israeli forces continue too close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TULKAREM

Closure of Checkpoints

At 09:00, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic until 09:35.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads

(i) Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
(ii) In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
(iii) Since 16:55 on December 18th 2014, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with dirt mounds
(iv) Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 09:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Azzun bridge located along the main road connecting Qalqiliya and Tulkarem then searched residents and vehicles.
(ii) At 09:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun then searched residents and vehicles until 22:30.

Raid

At 23:55, Israeli forces raided Qalqiliya until 05:20.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
(ii) The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the roads of Til-Burin and Beit Furik-Salem; the settler bypass road connecting the village of Deir al Hatab to the settlement of Alon Moreh; the road connecting the town of ‘Aqraba to the village of Osrin; and the detour road between the town of Qabalan and the village of Osrin.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
(iii) At 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
(iv) On November 29th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Burin, Awarta and Osirin as well as the agricultural bypass road connecting Aqraba and Qabalan village with dirt mounds.
(v) At 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
(vi) At 18:30 on January 19th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Huwara and Walada village with dirt mounds.

Raid

(i) At 02:25, Israeli forces raided Rujib village, stormed and searched a home and detained a University student.
(ii) At 03:30, Israeli forces raided Balata camp in Nablus, detained a National Security Force officer after storming and searching his home then withdrew at 03:55.

Detention

(i) Israeli forces detained Riyad Faris Abu Al-Hassan in Rujib village.
(ii) Israeli forces detained Aladdin Ahmad Aweid {A National Security Force officer} in Balata camp.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
(ii) On 15.04.2012, the Israeli army has opened the northern entrance to Salfit city to civilian which was closed since the year 2000 and prevented access from 08:00 until 09:20.
(iii) Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.

Closure of Checkpoints

Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 15:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Ballout then searched residents and vehicles.
(ii) At 23:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Istiya then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 09:30, Israeli forces raided Kafr Al-Dik, stormed and searched 2 homes then withdrew at 10:30.

JERICHO

Closure of Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.

Detention

On the evening of January 24th 2016, Israeli forces positioned at Allenby Bridge detained Fadi Nidal Abdel-Rahman Abu Al-Saud (A resident of Nablus) as he was returning from Jordan.

BETHLEHEM

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
(ii) Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the road leading to “Newe Daniyyel” settlement and agricultural land in Al-Khader; a road between Um Tuba and Wadi Al-Hums: Wadi Fukin, Al-Jaba, the Green Line; a road between Za’tara and a detour road, and a road between Taqou and Khirbet Al-Deir with cement blocks.
(iii) Since August 2nd 2012, Israeli forces closed a road leading to Beit Jalla.
(iv) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.
(v) Since June 3rd 2013, the Israeli army closed the road connecting Nihalin and road 60 with dirt mounds.
(vi) Since 13:20 on September 29th 2013, the Israeli army closed a road leading to 50 acres of agricultural land in Wadi Salem area in Al-Khadr with dirt mounds.
(vii) Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Surif and Al-Jub’a village with dirt mounds.
(viii) On January 28th 2014, Israeli forces closed the steel gate at the entrance of Nihalin { replacing the dirt mounds placed at the entrance since the year 2002} and placed time schedule for opening the gate from 06:00 until 14:00 on a daily bases.
(ix) Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
(x) At 15:30 on November 20th 2015, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Jinata and the entrance of Marah Rabah village with dirt mounds.
(xi) At 13:10 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Marah Rabah village with dirt mounds.
(xii) At 18:00 on November 27th 2015, Israeli forces closed Bararat junction located in Ras area in Beit Jallah with cement blocks.
(xiii) At 14:50 on November 28th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Um Al-Raqaba area located in Al-Khader with cement blocks.
(xiv) At 13:45 on January 17th 2016, Israeli forces closed the south entrance of Nihalin village with a steel gate.
(xv) At 20:00 on January 18th 2016, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Jinata with earth mounds.

HEBRON

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
(ii) Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances Al-Karmil villages.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to close all roads leading to Road # 60 as well as detour roads along the settler bypass road leading to Yatta town.
(iv) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds a detour road leading to e to Al-Simiya village, the southern entrance of Al-Samou’ and the entrance of Beit Annun with cement blocks.
(v) At 05:50 on November 5th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance leading Farsh Al-Hawa area in Hebron with Cement blocks.
(vi) At 10:30 on November 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the junction located near “Hagi” settlement located in south Hebron with cement blocks.
(vii) At 21:00 on November 11th 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Beit Awwa and Al-Majd village with cement block and dirt mounds.
(viii) At 15:45 on November 15th 2015, Israeli forces closed Al-Samiya village junction located at the west entrance of Al-Samou’ with cement blocks.
(ix) On November 15th 2015 , Israeli forces closed the entrances of Khliat Al-Miya and Al Dirat and the 2 bypass roads leading east Ytta with cement blocks.
(x) On November 23rd 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Al-Qom village located in North Beit Awwa with Cement blocks.
(xi) On December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed a checkpoint located along Al-Shuhada road located in the old city of Hebron and prevented residents from passing through the checkpoint and redirected traffic through a road near the entrance of Jabal Al-Rahma .
(xii) On December 9th 2015, Israeli forces closed a road near Jabal Jallis area located in the old city of Hebron and closed the bypass road.
(xiii) At 18:50 on January 21st 2016, Israeli forces closed the bypass road leading to Yatta with dirt mounds.

Raid

(i) At dawn on January 24th 2016, Israeli forces raided Halhoul and detained a resident.
(ii) At 09:40, Israeli forces raided Dura, stormed and searched a home and again at 00:100 on January 25th 2016 raided the area and detained 2 residents.

Detention

(i) At 16:30, Israeli forces detained Khalil Ahmad Al-Sharawnah (A resident of Deir Sammit) as he was reporting to Israeli Intelligence for questioning based on a prior summon.
(ii) Israeli forces detained Malik Mustafa Al-Sa’di in Halhoul.
(iii) Israeli forces detained Fadi Yusef Al-Haroub and Bahaa Hussein Al-Haroub in Dura.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.
• Israeli forces broke the cease-fire agreement by raiding and opening fire towards North Gaza.
• Israeli forces broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Khan Yunis.
• Israeli Military jets broke the ceasefire agreement by launching missiles towards Central Gaza and Khan Yunis.
• Palestinian Gunmen broke the cease-fire agreement by launching projectiles towards the Green Line {as alleged by the Israeli Military}.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businessmen and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Raid

At 16:30 on January 19th 2016, Israeli forces escorting Military bulldozers stormed 200m into the vicinity of east Beit Hanoun and opened fire as they levelled a plot of land then withdrew at 18:00.

Palestinian Attacks

At 20:55, Palestinian gunmen launched projectiles towards the Green Line {as alleged by the Israeli Military}.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

• Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
• Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Air Strike

At 02:30, Israeli Military Jets launched a missile towards Palestinian gunmen in south east Deir Al-Balah.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 08:40, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land located in the east area of Khaz’aa and Al-Fakhari towns.

Air Strike

At 02:00, Israeli Military Jets launched a missile towards Palestinian gunmen in South West Deir Al-Balah.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is open for the entry of tourist and foreign diplomats and the entry of Humanitarian assistance and construction material funded by UNRWA.
