WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure

(i) On April 2nd 2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers under the age of 50 from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.

Military Checkpoints

(i) Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
(ii) On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Khan Al-Hamra area located along the main road connecting Jerusalem and Jericho then searched residents and vehicles until 16:50.

Raid

(i) At 15:30, Israeli forces raided Abu Dis town, summoned Mohammad Jamal Hassan (A Civil Defence Officer) to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
(ii) At 03:30, Israeli forces raided Qalandiya camp then stormed and searched a home.

Attack

: On the morning of April 2nd 2016, Israeli forces positioned in Ras Al-Amoud neighborhood in Jerusalem city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured the child: Hatem Yassin Abu Maliya (13 years old).

Temporary Detention

At 21:50, Israeli forces positioned in Jerusalem city temporarily detained Baha Al-Din Aref Al-Amour (A resident of Teqou’ town in Bethlehem district) then released him after summoning him to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
(ii) Since 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement blocks for alleged gunfire.

House Demolition

At 23:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near “Halamish” settlement junction, temporarily detained 2 residents including Samir Ibrahim Hawarith then released him at 00:30.

JENIN

Closure

On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area and declared the area a closed military zone.

Closure of main Roads

The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan and the south entrance of Ya’bad.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 13:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ya’bad then searched residents and vehicles until 13:45.
(ii) At 14:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Arraba junction then searched residents and vehicles until 16:30.
(iii) At 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Hadad Al-Siyahiya village and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Mohammad Shahi near Hadad Al-Siyahiya village.

Closure of Wall Gates

Israeli forces continue too close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TUBAS

Closure of Roads

At 12:30 on March 15th 2016, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Aqaba village with cement blocks.

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Quffin town then searched residents and vehicles until 20:10.

Raid

(i) At 12:20, Israeli forces raided Beit Lid until 13:00.
(ii) At 23:35, Israeli forces raided Far’oun village.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Quffin town then searched residents and vehicles until 20:10.

Raid

(i) At 12:20, Israeli forces raided Beit Lid until 13:00.
(ii) At 23:35, Israeli forces raided Far’oun village.

Settlers Violence

At 15:50, a group of armed Israeli settlers stormed Shufa village then withdrew under the protection of Israeli Military forces.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads

(i) Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
(ii) In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
(iii) Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.

Raid

At 01:40, Israeli forces raided Azzun town until 02:50.

Demonstrations

At 13:40, a demonstration took place in Kafr Qaddum against the closure of the east entrance during which they clashed with Israeli forces tried to disrupt the demonstration by firing live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards demonstrators who attempted to reach they demonstration site and as a result injured Aqef Abdel-Ra’uf left several residents suffocating from tear gas inhalation.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
(ii) The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the roads of Til-Burin and Beit Furik-Salem; the settler bypass road connecting the village of Deir al Hatab to the settlement of Alon Moreh; the road connecting the town of ‘Aqraba to the village of Osrin; and the detour road between the town of Qabalan and the village of Osrin.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
(iii) At 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
(iv) On November 29th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Burin, Awarta and Osirin as well as the agricultural bypass road connecting Aqraba and Qabalan village with dirt mounds.
(v) At 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
(vi) At 18:30 on January 19th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Huwara and Walada village with dirt mounds.

Raid

(i) At 00:20, Israeli forces raided Assira Al-Shimaliya and summoned the child Omar Nidal Mohammad Daghlas (17 years old) to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 03:20
(ii) At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Nablus city, clashed with several residents near Joseph’s tomb area, detained a resident then withdrew at 03:20.
(iii) At dawn on April 3rd 2016, Israeli forces raided Huwara town then stormed and searched a home.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Tawfiq Dweikat in Nablus city.

Settlers Violence

At 15:30, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Burin village and chased away several Sheppard’s who were herding their sheep in the area.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
(ii) Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 11:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Rafat village and impeded the free flow of traffic until 13:05.
(ii) At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Yasuf village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 16:50, Israeli forces raided Bruqin town.
(ii) At 00:15, Israeli forces raided Al-Zawiya village, summoned Jameel Mohammad Abdel-Rahman Moqadi to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 00:45,

Settlers Violence

At 06:40, a group of Israeli settlers riding in a vehicle stormed Kafil Harris town then withdrew at 07:00.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 14:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along road (90) near Nueimeh village junction located at the North entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 15:25.
(ii) At 15:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho then searched residents and vehicles until16:20.
(iii) At 00:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Fasayil village then searched residents and vehicles until 00:45.

BETHLEHEM

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
(ii) Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.

(iv) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.
(v) At 09:15 on February 16th 2016, Israeli forces closed the bypass road connecting Za’tara and Ush Al-Ghurab area located in east Beit Sahur town with dirt mounds.
(vi) On February 25th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main steel entrance gate leading to Um Al Rakaba area in Al-Khader town.
(vii) At 22:40 on March 17th 2016, Israeli forces closed all entrances leading to Beit Fajjar thus preventing residents or vehicles from entering or exiting.
(viii) At 12:25 on March 18th 2016, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Marah Rabah village.

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasnah area located near the entrance of Husan village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 21:10, Israeli forces raided Harmalah village until 22:05.
(ii) At 01:30, Israeli forces raided Teqou’ town, detained a resident then withdrew at 03:35.
(iii) At 01:55, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town, detained a resident then withdrew at 06:40.
(iv) At 02:10, Israeli forces raided Marah Rabah village and detained a resident.
(v) At 03:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Duhisheh camp in Bethlehem city, clashed with several residents as they stormed 2 homes and summoned Anas Ahmad Al-Adam to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 06:40.

Detention

(i) Israeli forces detained Mohammad Nael Al-Bidan in Teqou’ town.
(ii) Israeli forces detained Muh’sien Assad Thawabteh in Teqou’ town.
(iii) Israeli forces detained Mahmoud Khalil Ali Ahmad in Marah Rabah village.

HEBRON

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
(ii) Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds.
(iii) The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds.

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Al-Fuwar camp then searched residents and vehicles until 20:30.

Raid

(i) At 10:35, Israeli forces raided Su’mara village located in west Al-Thahriya town until 13:30.
(ii) At 01:10, Israeli forces raided Hebron city, stormed and searched several homes, detained 3 residents {including a child and a Professional Football player for Alhli Al-Khalil club}: Basil Ibrahim Abu Ajamiya and Mohammad Ibrahim Abu Ajamiya then withdrew at 05:30.
(iii) At 02:30, Israeli forces raided Halhoul town and summoned Ahmad Khaled Shihadeh Al-Dawah to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
(iv) At 03:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Aroub camp and summoned Jihad Al-Din Abdel-Nasser Hassan Al-Bidawi to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Mohammad Shukri Rushdi Shahin (16 years old), Hamadah Khaled Al-Ja’bari {A professional Football player) and Yusef Abdel-Kareem Al-Ja’bari in Hebron city.

Settlers Violence

(i) At 16:50, Israeli settlers stormed Tel Al-Rumayda neighbourhood in the old city of Hebron and attacked the home of Abu Haykal family.
(ii) At 18:00, a group of Israeli settlers from Um Al-Aris area located near “Mitzpe Yair” settlement located in south Yatta town and chased Nael Khaled Musa Abu Aram as he was herding his goats.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month and at 03:00 on April 3rd 2016, the first phase for increasing the fishing limit from 6 nautical miles to 9 nautical miles stretching from Wadi Gaza shores to the Palestinian-Egyptian border in south Gaza.

• Israeli forces broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Central Gaza and Rafah.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire towards North Gaza and Central Gaza.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Beit Hanun (Erez) is closed.

Attack

At 08:00, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in West Beit Lahiya.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
(ii) Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

(i) At 09:10, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire toward agricultural land in east Deir Al-Balah city.
(ii) At 10:40, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Deir Al-Balah city.
(iii) At 00:30, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Nussirat camp.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is open for the entry of tourist and foreign diplomats and the entry of Humanitarian assistance and construction material funded by UNRWA

(i) At 09:45, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land located in the vicinity of Sufa Crossing located in North East Rafah.
