WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure

(i) Since April 1st 2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers under the age of 50 from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.

Military Checkpoints

(i) Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
(ii) On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.

Flying Checkpoints

At 12:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Eisawiya village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 08:10 and again at 04:35 on April 2nd 2016, Israeli forces raided Al-Eizariya and Abu Dis towns until 05:30.
(ii) At 03:25, Israeli forces raided Biddu village until 04:35.

Attack

At 17:00, Israeli forces positioned the North junction of Al-Ram town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
(ii) At 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement blocks for alleged gunfire.

Raid

(i) At 08:00, Israeli forces raided Deir Al-Sudan village and summoned Yazid Foad Jamil Al-Haj to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
(ii) At 05:20, Israeli forces raided Kafr Malik village and summoned Suliman Atallah Hamayil to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

Attack

(i) At 15:00, Israeli forces positioned near “Ofar” Military base/ Prison fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
(ii) 15:30, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance of Al-Jalazoun camp fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Demonstrations

(i) At 13:40, a demonstration took place in Ni’lin village protesting against the construction of the wall during which they clashed with Israeli forces and as a result suffocated several residents from tear gas inhalation.
(ii) At 13:40, a demonstration took place in Bil’in protesting against the construction of the wall during which they clashed with Israeli forces and as a result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
(iii) At 13:40, a demonstration took place in An Nabi Saleh village protesting against land confiscation for the purpose of settlement construction and as a result suffocated several residents from tear gas inhalation.

JENIN

Closure

On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area and declared the area a closed military zone.

Closure of main Roads

The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan and the south entrance of Ya’bad.

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Hadad Al-Siyahiya village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 13:10, Israeli forces raided Ya’bad, stormed the home of Yahya Abu Shamaleh and placed lights around the premises of the area then withdrew at 15:00.
(ii) At 16:50, Israeli forces raided Qabatiya town, clashed with several residents as they stormed the home of Ahmad Naji Abu Al-Rub then took photographs and measurements of the home.

Closure of Wall Gates

Israeli forces continue too close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TUBAS

Closure of Roads

At 12:30 on March 15th 2016, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Aqaba village with cement blocks.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 17:35, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic until 19:15.

Flying Checkpoints

At 11:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along Al-Jaroushiya road then searched residents and vehicles until 11:40.

Settlers Violence

At 09:00, Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land near Izbit Abu Khamis village and chased away several farmers from the land then withdrew at 14:35.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads

(i) Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
(ii) In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
(iii) Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.

Demonstrations

At 13:40, a demonstration took place in Kafr Qaddum against the closure of the east entrance during which they clashed with Israeli forces tried to disrupt the demonstration by firing live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards demonstrators who attempted to reach they demonstration site left several residents suffocating from tear gas inhalation.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
(ii) The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the roads of Til-Burin and Beit Furik-Salem; the settler bypass road connecting the village of Deir al Hatab to the settlement of Alon Moreh; the road connecting the town of ‘Aqraba to the village of Osrin; and the detour road between the town of Qabalan and the village of Osrin.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
(iii) At 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
(iv) On November 29th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Burin, Awarta and Osirin as well as the agricultural bypass road connecting Aqraba and Qabalan village with dirt mounds.
(v) At 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
(vi) At 18:30 on January 19th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Huwara and Walada village with dirt mounds.

Flying Checkpoints

At 12:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near “Yitzhar” settlement junction located in North Huwara then searched residents and vehicles until 13:30.

Raid

At dawn on April 1st 2016, Israeli forces raided Madma village and detained 2 residents.

Detention

(i) At 04:00 on April 1st 2016, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Rafiq Tanbour and Jaber Ji’an during their raid into Nablus city
(ii) Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mohammad Abdallah Sadeq Qut and Jihad Idris Sadeq Qut in Madma village.

Temporary Detention

At 17:45, Israeli forces temporarily detained 2 children: Mohammad Ziyad Odah (16 years old) and Ahmad Ziyad Odah (12 years old) then released them at 18:45.

Attack

At 16:30, Israeli forces positioned near Qaryout village junction opened fire and fired tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
(ii) Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Detention

At 16:45, Israeli forces positioned near “Ariel” settlement junction detained Ahmad Khaled Aref Al-Safadi (A resident of Orif village in Nablus district).

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.

Flying Checkpoints

At 02:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho city, opened fire towards a vehicle and detained the driver then withdrew at 04:00.

Detention

Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho city, detained Tawfiq Nafez Abu Assab (A resident of Shu’fat camp in Jerusalem city).

Physical Assault

At 00:55, Israeli forces positioned along the bypass road in east Jericho city assaulted 2 residents: Ammar Izat Al-Karaki and Nader Abdel-Hafith Abu Maliya and as a result left them hospitalized with contusions.

BETHLEHEM

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
(ii) Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.

(iii) Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
(iv) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.
(v) At 09:15 on February 16th 2016, Israeli forces closed the bypass road connecting Za’tara and Ush Al-Ghurab area located in east Beit Sahur town with dirt mounds.
(vi) On February 25th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main steel entrance gate leading to Um Al Rakaba area in Al-Khader town.
(vii) At 22:40 on March 17th 2016, Israeli forces closed all entrances leading to Beit Fajjar thus preventing residents or vehicles from entering or exiting.
(viii) At 12:25 on March 18th 2016, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Marah Rabah village.

Raid

At dawn on April 1st 2016, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader town and detained 4 residents.

Attack

At 15:50, Israeli forces positioned near Ayda camp located in North Bethlehem city, near Al-Khader town and in Um Al-Rakaba area in Al-Khader town fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 4 residents: Nabeel Ali Na’iem Al-Ziyat, Ahmad Mohammad Rizq Salah, Ammar Ra’fat Al-Zihat and Mohammad Majed Shihadeh Salah in Al-Khader.

Demonstrations

At 10:55, a demonstration took place near Al-Nafaq road in Al-Khader town protesting against Israeli leveling of land in the area for the purpose of constructing the wall.

HEBRON

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
(ii) Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds.
(iii) The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds.

Physical Assault

At 17:20, the child Sufiyan Mana’ Fihmi Al-Ja’bari (15 years old) {A resident of Hebron city} was hospitalized after being assaulted by Israeli forces near the entrance of Beit Einoun village.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.

• Israeli forces broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Gaza, Central Gaza and Rafah and as a result injured 4 residents.

• Israeli Naval Vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Rafah.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Attack

At 15:30, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards several residents in east Al-Buriej camp as they were protesting against Israeli assault on Al-Aqsa mosque compound and against Palestinian citizens and as a result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation and as a result injured a resident and left 3 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
(ii) Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 15:30, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents located in the vicinity of Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing in east Gaza fired tear gas grenades towards several residents in North Beit Lahiya Jabaliya as they were protesting the Israeli Military and settler assault on Al-Aqsa mosque compound.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is open for the entry of tourist and foreign diplomats and the entry of Humanitarian assistance and construction material funded by UNRWA.

Attack

(i) At 10:00, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Rafah city.
(ii) At 21:30, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land located in North east Rafah city and as a result injured 2 residents.
(iii) At 03:00,Israeli Naval vessles opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Rafah city and as a result destroyed and sunk a fishing boat.

Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards, destroyed and sunk a fishing boat off the shores of Rafah city.
