WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure

(i) On May 6th 2016, The Israeli army intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.

Military Checkpoints

(i) Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
(ii) On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.

At 18:50, Israeli forces raided Abu Dis town, clashed with several residents and as a result injured 11 residents including 2 paramedics.

(i) At 10:00, Israeli forces detained Aseel Yacoub Abu Al-Hawa in Al-Tur neighbourhood in Jerusalem city.
(ii) At 13:00, Israeli forces positioned near a main gate entrance leading to Al-Aqsa mosque compound detained Ahmad Jaber Qambaz (A resident of Jabal Al-Mukabir neighbourhood).

Deportation

At 09:30, Israeli forces served a military order for the expulsion of Raniya Abbas (36 years old) {Wife of Alaa Al-Din Abbas, a Palestinian Detainee} from her place of residence on Ras Al-Amoud neighbourhood in Jerusalem city

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
(ii) At 24:00 on February 14th 2016, closed the main road near the entrance of “Bet El” settlement which leads to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement blocks for alleged gunfire.

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ein Sinya village roundabout {along the main road connecting Ramallah and Nablus} then searched residents and vehicles until 19:30.

Raid

At 02:55, Israeli forces raided Deir Abu Mash’al village and summoned Zaki Fayeq Ata to report to Israeli intelligence for questioning.

Attack

(i) At 13:40, Israeli forces positioned in the vicinity of “Ofar” Military base/Prison fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades at several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured Musa Al-Khaldi and detained 3 children.
(ii) At 13:40, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Jalazoun camp Prison fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades at several residents for alleged stoning.

Detention

Israeli forces positioned in the vicinity of “Ofar” Military base/Prison detained 3 residents: Mohammad Mahmoud Samrin (17 years old), Ashraf Daoud Samrin (16 years old) and Shareef Daoud Samrin (15 years old).

Settlers Violence

At 12:20, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Ein Al-Zarqa area located between Deir Ghassana and Aboud towns and leveled a plot of land in order to build a Fish Farm Pond during which the land owners were able to chase away the settlers from their land.

Demonstrations

(i) At 13:40, a demonstration took place in Ni’lin village protesting against the construction of the wall during which they clashed with Israeli forces and as a result suffocated several residents from tear gas inhalation.
(ii) At 13:40, a demonstration took place in Bil’in protesting against the construction of the wall during which they clashed with Israeli forces and as a result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

JENIN

Closure

On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area and declared the area a closed military zone

The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.

Raid

At dawn on May 7th 2016, Israeli forces raided Ya’bad town and detained 2 residents.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Ahmad Hirzallah and Naseem Mustafa Billal.

Israeli forces continue to close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it

TUBAS

Closure of main Roads

Since 12:30 on March 15th 2016, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Al-Aqaba village with cement blocks.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Raid

(i) At 09:30, Israeli forces raided Sayda village, clashed with several residents and as a result left Tahseen Yusef Radad suffocated from tear gas inhalation then withdrew at 10:15.
(ii) At 10:15, Israeli forces raided Khirbeit Al-Himam area located near Al-Nazlah Al-Sharqiya village as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed archaeological sites in the area then withdrew at 12:15.
(iii) At 16:40, Israeli forces raided Iktaba neighbourhood in Tulkarem city and Deir Ghsoun town then withdrew at 17:00.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads

(i) Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
(ii) In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
(iii) Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.

Raid

At 18:00, Israeli forces raided Qalqiliya city, clashed with several residents and as a result injured Nidal Sufiyan Za’rab and detained a resident and a later at 06:20 opened fire towards a residential vehicles they chased it then withdrew at a later time.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Nidal Sufiyan Za’rab during confrontations in Qalqiliya city.

Detention

(i) At 14:00, Israeli forces detained Hazim Ziyad Qizmar (A National Intelligence Officer){A resident of Izbat Salman village} at a checkpoint located along the main road leading to Jericho.
(ii) Israeli forces detained Mohammad Abdel-Latif Al-Ja’di in Qalqiliya city.

Demonstrations

At 13:50, a demonstration took place in Kafr Qaddum against the closure of the east entrance during which they clashed with Israeli forces tried to disrupt the demonstration by firing live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards demonstrators who attempted to reach they demonstration site and as a result injured 3 residents including 2 journalists: Ahmad Shawar {Journalist}, Muthna Adik {Journalist} and Kifah Abdel-Ra’ouf Jum’a as well as leaving several other residents suffocating from tear gas inhalation.

NABLUS

Closure

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
(ii) Since 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.

Military Checkpoints

At 15:40, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Beit Furiq checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 16:30.

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Deir Sharaf junction located along the main road connecting Nablus and Tulkarem then searched residents and vehicles until 19:50.

Raid

(i) At dawn on May 6th 2016, Israeli forces raided Beit Dajjan village, stormed and searched a home owned by Nasseer Radwan Abu Thabit {A Palestinian detainee} then confiscated a computer and a Cellular telephone.
(ii) At 20:05, Israeli forces raided Huwara town, occupied the rooftop of a building located along the main road in the centre of town then converted it into a military post and withdrew at 20:55.

Confiscation of Property

Israeli forces confiscated a computer and a Cellular telephone after storming a home in Beit Dajjan village.

House Occupation

Israeli forces occupied the rooftop of a building located along the main road in the center of Huwara then converted it into a military post.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
(ii) Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.

At 19:00, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 19:50.

Demonstrations

At 13:00, a demonstration took place after Friday prayers in Deir Istiya protesting against the closure of a road leading to Wadi Abu Al-Nasser area.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along Al-Mu’arajat road the main road connecting Ramallah and Jericho Districts then searched residents and vehicles until 21:15.

Raid

At 09:20, Israeli forces raided Jericho city as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed a Jewish Synagogue then withdrew at 11:25.

BETHLEHEM

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
(ii) Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
(ii) Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
(iii) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.
(iv) At 09:15 on February 16th 2016, Israeli forces closed the bypass road connecting Za’tara and Ush Al-Ghurab area located in east Beit Sahur town with dirt mounds.
(v) On February 25th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main entrance gate leading to Um Al-Rakaba area in Al-Khader.
(vi) At 22:40 on March 17th 2016, Israeli forces closed all entrances of Beit Fajjar town and prevented residents from entering or exiting the town.
(vii) At 12:25 on March 18th 2016, Israeli forces closed the north entrance of Marah Rabah village which leads to Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.

Flying Checkpoints

At 11:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Nihalin village then searched residents and vehicles until 13:00.

HEBRON

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
(ii) Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the bypass road connecting Bani Na’im and Zif village junction with dirt mounds.
(iii) The Israeli Army continues to close the entrance of Beit Ummar (located near the local Cemetery) with dirt mounds.

Military Checkpoints

Since 09:55 on May 4th 2016,, Israeli forces closed Abu Al-Rish checkpoint in the old city of Hebron from 08:00 until 17:00 for a period of 1 week {with the exception May 5th 2016 which is Al-Isra Wal Mi’raj Holiday} and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Raid

On May 6th 2016, Israeli forces raided Wadi Al-Shajinah village and detained a resident.

Detention

(i) On May 6th 2016, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Ibrahimi mosque in the old city of Hebron detained Mohammad Khaled Ibrahim Abu Turki.
(ii) Israeli forces detained Tariq Abu Arqoub in Wadi Al-Shajinah village.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.

• The Israeli Military broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire a from their positions behind the Green Line towards Gaza.
• Israeli Military Air crafts broke the cease fire agreement by launching missiles towards Khan Yunis which injured a resident.
• Palestinian Gunmen broke the ceasefire agreement by launching 2 projectiles towards Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line{As alleged by the Israeli Military}.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
(ii) Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

(i) At 15:00, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire and launched stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents positioned near Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing in east Al-Shija’iya neighbourhood in east Gaza city as they were protesting the Israeli Military and settler assault on Al-Aqsa mosque compound and as a result left 2 residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
(ii) At 11:55, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards east Jahir Ad-Dik town located in east Gaza city.

KHAN YUNIS

Air Strike

(i) At 09:00, Israeli military aircrafts launched a missile towards an open area in east Kha’zaa town.
(ii) At 03:30 on May 7th 2016, Israeli military aircrafts launched a missile towards an open area in east Abbassan Al-Jadeeda.
(iii) At 03:40 on May 7th 2016, Israeli military aircrafts launched a missile towards an open area in east Abbassan Al-Kabirah.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is open for the entry Humanitarian assistance.

Palestinian Attacks

At 11:40, Palestinian gunmen launched a projectile towards Israeli forces positioned near the border fence in east Rafah city.
