WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure
  1. On February 14th 2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers under the age of 50 from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
  2. The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
  3. The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.
Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
  2. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint. 
Military Checkpoints
  1. Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
  2. On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall
Raid
  1. At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Izariya and Abu Dis until 03:10.
  2. At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Qalandiya camp, stormed a home and detained a resident.
Killings
  • At 23:20, 2 residents: Omar Mohammad Ahmad Amro (22 years old)  and Mansour Yaser Abdel-Aziz Shawamra (24) were killed after Israeli forces opened fire towards them  near Bab Al-Amoud area in Jerusalem for allegedly opening fire towards Israeli Police forces in the area.
Detention
  • On February 14th 2016, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Kifah Yasser Abu Al-Hawa and Ameen Khader Abu Al-Hawa  in Al-Tur neighbourhood in Jerusalem.
  •  Israeli forces detained 3 residents {including 2 injured}: Ibrahim Jamal Miyadma (13 years old){A residents of Aqraba village in Nablus}, Bilal Mohammad Miyadma (A residents of Aqraba village in Nablus} and Mohammad Badr Hijazi {A resident of AlZa’im village in Jerusalem} near  Al-Za’im checkpoint.
Temporary Detention
  • On February 14th 2016, Israeli forces temporarily detained the child Ahmad Mohammad Darbas (12 years old) {A resident of Al-Eisawiya village} then released him at a later time.
Obstruction of Places of Worship
  • At 11:00, Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.
Closure of Wall Gates
  • The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
  • The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
  2. On December 15th 2015, Israeli forces closed the West entrance of Al-Labban Al-Gharbi village with cement blocks.
  3. On January 27th 2016, Israeli forces closed Beit Ur Al-Tahta village junction which leads to road (443) with cement blocks.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At 08:30 and again at 20:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Sinjil then searched residents and vehicles and opened fire towards several children for alleged stoning then withdrew at 22:00.
  2. At 13:55 and again at 18:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Ur Al-Foqa village then searched residents and vehicles until 22:40.
  3. At  21:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Yabroud village bridge then searched residents and vehicles until 22:45.
  4. At 21:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near checkpoint near Atarah bridge then searched residents and vehicles until 01:00.
Raid
  1. At 22:50 and again at 04:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city, stormed and searched a restaurant and detained a resident.
  2. At 04:45, Israeli forces raided Abboud and detained 3 residents including a National Security force officer.
Attack
  1. At 11:50, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance of Al-Jalazoun camp fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
Detention
  1. Israeli forces detained Jamal Ishaq Abu Layal in Al-Bireh city.
  2. Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Mohammad Rashad Jabr Al-Barghouthi { a National Security force officer}, Nour Mohammad Rashad Jabr Al-Barghouthi and Hussien Mohammad Rashad Jabr Al-Barghouthi in Abboud.
House Occupation
  1. At 18:05, Israeli forces stormed Beit Ur At Tahta and Khirbathat Al-Misbah villages and occupied 2 homes  owned by: Eyad Mahmoud Harfoush and Sa’id Samour Harfoush and converted their rooftops into Military posts in order to allegedly prevent children from stoning Israeli forces in the area.

JENIN

Closure
  1. On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area  {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area  and declared the area a closed military zone.
Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.
  2. At 05:00, Israeli forces closed all the entrances leading to Al-Arqa vilage with dirt mounds.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At 15:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of  Kafirat village then searched residents and vehicles.
Raid
  1. At 10:50, Israeli forces raided Al-Arqa village {After Israeli forces killed 2 children} , clashed with several residents then withdrew at 14:00.
  2. At 17:25, Israeli forces raided Jaba’, clashed with several residents and as a result injured Mohammad Riyad Rafiq Ghannam and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
Killings
  1. At 10:35, 2 children: Fo’ad Marwan Khaled Waqad (15 years old) and Nihad Raed Mohammad Waqad (15 years old) were killed after Israeli forces opened fire towards  for allegedly attempting to throw a fire bomb towards Israeli forces located near the wall gate  in Al-Arqa vilage {As alleged by the Israeli Military}.

  1. Israeli forces continue too close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints
  1. 08:40, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic until 10:00.
Raid
  1. At 00:50, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem and its camps, stormed a home then withdrew at 05:50.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads
  1. Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
  2. In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
  3. Since 16:55 on December 18th 2014, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with dirt mounds
  4. Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At11:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun then searched residents and vehicles until 14:50.
  2. At 11:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Izbit Al-Tabib village then searched residents and vehicles until 14:00.
  3. At 11:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along Jit village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 14:45
  4. At 21:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of the tunnel leading to Hablah town located at the south entrance of Qalqiliya junction then searched residents and vehicles until 00:45.
Raid
  1. At 18:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Nabi Eliyas village {for alleged stoning of a settler vehicle} and then stormed and searched several homes located near the main road.
Closure of Wall Gates
  1. The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
  2. The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure
  1. Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.
Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
  2. At 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
  3. On November 29th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Burin, Awarta and Osirin as well as the agricultural bypass road connecting Aqraba and Qabalan village with dirt mounds.
  4. At 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
  5. At 18:30 on January 19th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Huwara and Walada village with dirt mounds.
  6. At 09:00 on February 1st 2016, Israeli forces closed the south steel gate entrance of Jama’I and closed the main road connecting Jama’in and Zieta with dirt mounds.
Military Checkpoints
  1. At 13:45, Israeli forces closed Huwara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic of residents leaving Nablus and then redirected the flow of traffic through Awrata village junction n  and reopened it at a later time  and again at 21:00 closed the checkpoint and then reopened it at a later time.
  2. At 16:30, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Beit Furiq checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At 08:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Deir Sharaf  village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 11:10.
  2. At 09:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Odala village then searched residents and vehicles until 10:45.
  3. At 13:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Qusra village then searched residents and vehicles until 15:20.
  4. At 16:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Sarah village located along the main road connecting Nablus and Qalqiliya then searched residents and vehicles until 15:20.
Raid
  1. At 10:00, Israeli forces raided Qabalan village, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 11:30.
  2. At 16:00, Israeli forces raided Sabastiya village until 16:35.
  3. At 02:50, Israeli forces raided Nablus city , clashed with several residents  and as a result injured Ayman Marwan Makhlouf then withdrew at 05:00.
Detention
  1. At 23:45, Israeli forces detained 3 residents:  Yazen Nasser Jamil Assafrah , Abdel-Fatah Rasem Ahmad and Abed Yahya Salah { residents of Assira Al-Qibliya}.

SALFIT

Closure of Checkpoints
  1. The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
  2. On 15.04.2012, the Israeli army has opened the northern entrance to Salfit city to civilian which was closed since the year 2000 and prevented access from 08:00 until 09:20.
  3. Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.
Closure
  1. Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints
  1. Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At 11:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along the main road in Al-Oja village then searched residents and vehicles until 13:15.
  2. At 17:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Fasayil village junction then searched residents and vehicles.
  3. At 19:30 and again at 06:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho then searched residents and vehicles.

BETHLEHEM

Closure
  1. The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
  2. Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.
Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala  ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to  Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
  2. The Israeli army continues to close the road leading to “Newe Daniyyel” settlement and agricultural land in Al-Khader; a road between  Um Tuba and Wadi Al-Hums: Wadi Fukin, Al-Jaba, the Green Line; a road between Za’tara and a detour road, and a road between Taqou and Khirbet Al-Deir with cement blocks.
  3. Since August 2nd 2012, Israeli forces closed a road leading to Beit Jalla.
  4. Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.
  5. Since June 3rd 2013, the Israeli army closed the road connecting Nihalin and road 60 with dirt mounds.
  6. Since 13:20 on September 29th 2013, the Israeli army closed a road leading to 50 acres of agricultural land in Wadi Salem area in Al-Khadr with dirt mounds.
  7.  Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Surif and Al-Jub’a village with dirt mounds.
  8. On January 28th 2014, Israeli forces closed the steel gate at the entrance of Nihalin { replacing the dirt mounds placed at the entrance since the year 2002} and placed time schedule for opening the gate from 06:00 until 14:00 on a daily bases.
  9. Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At 08:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Dar Salah village located at the east entrance of Beit Sahur then searched residents and vehicles until 14:05.
  2. At 13:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Teqou’ then searched residents and vehicles until 15:00
Raid
  1. At 20:15, Israeli forces raided Nahalin village, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched 2 homes.
  2. At 20:15, Israeli forces raided Beit Jalla then stormed and searched a restaurant and temporarily detained Ahmad Salah Ahmad Assad then released him at 22:45.
  3. At 00:20, Israeli forces raided Al-Khadr, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 01:00.
  4. At 00:30, Israeli forces raided Teqou’, stormed 3 homes then withdrew at 04:25.
  5. At 00:30, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar.
  6. At 03:10, Israeli forces raided Wadi Shahin area in Bethlehem.
Killings
  1. At 13:35, Israeli forces killed the child: Na’im Ahmad Yusef Safi (17 years old){A resident of Al-Obidiya} after they opened fire towards him near Mazmoriya checkpoint located near Al-Nu’man village  for allegedly attempting to stab a Israeli soldier.

HEBRON

Closure
  1. The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
  2. Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area
Curfew
  1. The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Al-Thahiriya and Al-Samoa’ towns, Al-‘Arrub refugee camp, and Al-Tuwani and Al-Karmil villages. 
  2. The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
  3. The Israeli army continues to close all roads leading to Road # 60 as well as detour roads along the settler bypass road leading to Yatta town.
  4. The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds a detour road leading to e to Al-Simiya village, the southern entrance of Al-Samou’ and the entrance of Beit Annun with cement blocks.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At 14:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along the main road connecting Dura and Al-Thahriya junction then searched residents and vehicles.
Raid
  1. At 13:20, Israeli forces raided Beit Awwa then stormed and searched a home.
  2. At 01:20, Israeli forces raided Yatta, detained a resident then withdrew at 05:30.
Attack
  1. At 09:50, Israeli forces positioned  near Al-Aroub camp fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents inside the camp for alleged stoning and as a result injured the child  Muneer Abdel-Rahman Jawabrah (12 years old)  after he was ran over by a Israeli Military vehicle.
  2. At 09:50, positioned near Al-Fuwar camp fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
  3. At 13:00, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance of Al-Shuhada road in the old city of Hebron fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
  4. At 18:50, Israeli forces positioned  near Al-Ibrahimi mosque in the old city of Hebron opened fire towards Yasmin Rashad Hijazi Al-Zaro (21 years old) {A resident of Hebron} and as a result left her critically injured and then detained her for allegedly attempting to stab a Israeli soldier.
Detention
  1. At 10:40, Israeli forces detained Annan Yusef Zamar’a (A resident of Halhoul) as he was reporting to Israeli Intelligence for questioning in “Kafr Itsiyon “settlement based on a prior summon.
  2. Israeli forces detained Raed Ishaq Ibrahim Abu Hameed in Yatta.
  3. Israel forces detained the critically injured residents:  Yasmin Rashad Hijazi Al-Zaro (21 years old) {A resident of Hebron}.
Assaults on Property
  1. On February b14th 2016, Israeli forces stormed Al-Buq’a area located near “Kiryat Arba” settlement located in the east area of the old city of Hebron and served military orders to halt construction on 2 homes owned by : Nimr Fihmi Jaber and Hani Saleem Jaber.
GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

  1. At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of  increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points
  1. Beit Hanun (Erez) is  open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businessmen and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points
  1. Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
  2. Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points
  1. Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
  2. Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
  3. Sufa Crossing is closed
  4. Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is is open for the entry of tourist and foreign diplomats and the entry of Humanitarian assistance and construction material funded by UNRWA.
