WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure

(i) On February 3rd 2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers under the age of 50 from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.

Military Checkpoints

(i) Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
(ii) On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu ‘fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.

Raid

(i) On the morning of February 2nd 2016, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village, detained 4 residents including 3 children and again at 21:25 raided the area and clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes and also detained 10 others which makes the total residents detained to 14 residents including 3 children.
(ii) 03:30, Israeli forces raided Abu Dis, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched apartment in a University student Dormitory then withdrew at 04:00.

Killings

At 14:20, 3 residents: Ahmad Najeh Ismail Zakarneh (19 years old), Mohammad Ahmad Mohammad Lamil (19 years old) and Ahmad Najah Abdel-Latif Abu Al-Rub (20 years old) were killed after Israeli forces opened fire towards them near Bab Al-Amoud area in Jerusalem for allegedly opening fire towards and stabbing Israeli Police officers which killed 1 and left 3 others injured {As alleged by the Israeli Military}.

Attack

(i) At 16:00, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Eisawiya village fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
(ii) At 17:00, Israeli forces positioned near the wall gate in Qatana village fired live ammunition; stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured the child Zakariay Ahmad Taha (17 years old).

Detention

(i) At 18:00, Israeli forces detained Nour Shalabi near Bab Al-Amoud area in Jerusalem.
(ii) At 21:20, Israeli forces detained the child Yusef Jihad Al-Za’tari (12 years old) in Wadi Qaddum area in Silwan neighbourhood.
(iii) Israeli forces detained 14 residents: Nadeem Mohammad Hussein Zahour (15 years old), Fathi Munir Dweik (14 years old), Anas Ali Abu Asab (16 years old), Ashour Fayez Al-Razam, Mohammad Hani Al-Razam, Hamza Abu Farha, Faris Harbi, Rami Dari, Musa Harbi, Musa Darar Darwish, Yahya Dari, Ali Badr, Bassem Wajeeh Al-Natsheh and Yusef Sami Dari in Al-Eisawiya village.

Destruction of Property

On February 3rd 2016, Israeli forces stormed Al--Eisawiya village and demolished a vehicle repair Garage owned by Haytham Foad Mustafa Al-Eisawi.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
(ii) On December 15th 2015, Israeli forces closed the West entrance of Al-Labban Al-Gharbi village with cement blocks.
(iii) At 19:35 on January 25th 2016, Israeli forces closed Shuqba village with dirt mounds.
(iv) On January 27th 2015, Israeli forces closed Beit Ur Al-Tahta village junction which leads to road (443) with cement blocks.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 12:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Atarah bridge then searched residents and vehicles until 13:30.
(ii) At 15:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint Ein Sinya village roundabout located along the main road connecting Ramallah and Nablus then searched residents and vehicles.
(iii) At 15:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Sinjil then searched residents and vehicles.
(iv) At 16:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Ur Al-Tahta villages then searched residents and vehicles.
(v) At 16:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Deir Dibwan village bridge, temporarily detained 2 residents: Mustafa Hani Kahla and Sufyan Imad Kahlah {Both residents of Ramoun} then released them at 20:00.
(vi) At 01:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Yabroud village then searched residents and vehicles until 04:00.

Temporary Detention

Israeli forces positioned at a checkpoint beneath Deir Dibwan village bridge, temporarily detained 2 residents: Mustafa Hani Kahla and Sufyan Imad Kahlah {Both residents of Ramoun} then released them at 20:00

Raid

(i) At 16:35, Israeli forces raided Deir Ghassaneh and clashed with several residents.
(ii) At 01:45, Israeli forces raided Bil’in village, demolished {a dressing room} at a Pool resort and destroyed 2 sets of plants and a water well network owned by Othman Mansour and Ahmad Mohammad Mansour during which residents clashed with Israeli forces.

Destruction of Property

Israeli forces demolished {a dressing room} at a Pool resort and destroyed 2 sets of plants and a water well network owned by Othman Mansour and Ahmad Mohammad Mansour .

Detention

At 13:20, Israeli forces positioned near the west entrance of Um Safa village detained Nour-Al-Din Kamal Masgar (A resident of Mazari’ Al-Nubani village).

JENIN

Closure

On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area and declared the area a closed military zone.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.
(ii) Since the evening of November 25th 2012, Israeli forces closed the western entrance of Ya’bad.

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Um Al-Tout village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At dawn on February 3rd 2016, Israeli forces raided Jenin camp and detained a resident.
(ii) At 04:35, Israeli forces raided Qabatiya, closed all the roads leading to the village and declared the area a closed military zone during which they stormed and searched several homes including the homes of the 3 residents killed by Israeli forces in Jerusalem} and occupied the home of Hisham Assaf Kamil and converted its rooftop into a military post and detained 6 residents including 2 children during which they clashed with several residents and injured Mohammad Al-Abbas Zakarneh (16 years old) with critical injuries after he was rammed by a Israeli Military vehicle.
(iii) At dawn on February 4th 2016, Israeli forces raided Al-Faduqumiya village and detained a resident after storming his home.

Detention

(i) At 21:00, Israeli forces detained Mu’tasim Mahmoud Suliman Alawneh (A resident of Qabatiya).
(ii) Israeli forces detained 6 residents: Mu’tasim Mahmoud Suliman (17 years old), Ahmad Billal Abdel-Afo Al-Nazal (17 years old), Ma’moun Nasri Abu Al-Rub, Mohammad Ahmad Hilmi Kamil, Tariq Ahmad Hilmi Kamil, Sari Mohammad Abu Gharab and Ahmad Rashid Abd Al-Khalil in Qabatiya village.
(iii) Israel forces raided Izat Nayef Dahoun in Al-Fanduqumiya village.

Closure of Wall Gates

Israeli forces continue too close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TUBAS

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at “Machola” settlement junction located in the North Jordan Valley then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

At 18:35, Israeli forces positioned near Khirbat Yarza village detained Faysal Mahmoud Mohammad Daraghmeh (A resident of Khirbat Yarza village).

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 08:50, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic until 10:00.

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:00, Israeli force set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Anabta then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 11:15, Israeli forces raided Anabta until 16:00.

Temporary Detention

At 16:05, Israeli forces temporarily detained Mohammad Yasser Jayyousi and Nadiya Subhi Al-Jayousi as they were visiting their brother in Ashkalon prison then released them at a later time.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads

(i) Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
(ii) Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate

Closure of Wall Gates

(i) The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
(ii) The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure

Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
(ii) At 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
(iii) At 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
(iv) At 18:30 on January 19th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Huwara and Walada village with dirt mounds.
(v) At 09:00 on February 1st 2016, Israeli forces closed the steel gate {south} entrance of Jamma’in village and closed the main road connecting.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 11:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along Al-Bithan road located at the east entrance of Nablus then searched residents and vehicles until 12:00.
(ii) At 18:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along the main road connecting Nablus and Qalqiliya then searched residents and vehicles until 19:50.
(iii) At 07:20, Israeli force set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Qabalan village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 16:20, Israeli forces raided Qusra village, stormed and searched a Youth Association building.
(ii) At 21:55, Israeli forces raided Tel village, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 22:25.
(iii) At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Balata camp in Nablus, detained a resident then withdrew at 03:25.
(iv) At 04:00, Israeli forces raided Beit Dajjan village, stormed a home and a Shed owned by Ala Samih Tamam.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Khaled Atta Awadi in Balat camp in Nablus.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
(ii) Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.

Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Yasuf village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 14:45, Israeli forces raided Kafr Al-Dik.
(ii) At 02:40, Israeli forces raided Deir Balout, stormed a home, detained 3 residents and summoned Mohammad Abdallah Ali Musa to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 04:45.

Detention

Israeli forced detained 3 residents: Jamil Abdel-Wahab Abdallah, Eyad Jafar Daoud Abdallah and Ala Izat Mohammad Abdallah in Deir Balout.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

At 16:10, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District until 17:20.

Raid

At 03:20, Israeli forces raided Jericho and Aqbat Al-Jabr camp detained a resident in the camp then withdrew at 04:00.

Detention

(i) At 21:00, Israeli forces positioned at Allenby bridge detained Ahmad Ali Ahmad Zakarneh (A residents of Qabatiya village in Jenin) as he was returning from Jordan.
(ii) At 21:55, Israeli forces positioned at Allenby bridge detained Taha Hussein Ahmad Alami (A resident of Tulkarem) as he was travelling to Jordan.
(iii) Israeli forces detained Ahmad Khalil Ali Shiekh Ibrahim in Aqbat Al-Jabr camp in Jericho.

BETHLEHEM

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
(ii) Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.

(i) The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close the road leading to “Newe Daniyyel” settlement and agricultural land in Al-Khader; a road between Um Tuba and Wadi Al-Hums: Wadi Fukin, Al-Jaba, the Green Line; a road between Za’tara and a detour road, and a road between Taqou and Khirbet Al-Deir with cement blocks.
(iii) Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.
(iv) Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
(v) At 13:45 on January 17th 2016, Israeli forces closed the south entrance of Nihalin village with a steel gate.

(ii) At 16:35, Israeli forces positioned at the west entrance of Taqou’ fired live ammunition, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured the child Musa Mohamad Al-Amour (16 years old).

Injuries

Israeli forces injured the child Musa Mohamad Al-Amour (16 years old).

Detention

(i) At 22:55, Israeli force positioned at Container checkpoint detained Mahmoud Aziz Al-Rimawi (A resident of Beit Rima village in Ramallah)
(ii) Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Billal Kamal Hussien Turat and Jamal Hussien Ta’mah Turah in Taqou’.

HEBRON

Closure

(i) The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
(ii) Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.

Closure of main Roads

(i) The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
(ii) The Israeli army continues to close all roads leading to Road # 60 as well as detour roads along the settler bypass road leading to Yatta town.
(iii) The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds a detour road leading to e to Al-Simiya village, the southern entrance of Al-Samou’ and the entrance of Beit Annun with cement blocks.
(iv) On December 9th 2015, Israeli forces closed a road near Jabal Jallis area located in the old city of Hebron and closed the bypass road.

Raid

At 01:30, Israeli forces raided Halhoul, stormed and searched 2 homes then withdrew at 04:55.

Detention

On February 2n 2016, Israeli forces detained Duha Jihad Al-Bo (A resident of Hebron).

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.
• Israeli forces broke the ceasefire agreement by raiding and opening fire towards Khan Yunis
• Israeli forces broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Central Gaza.
• Israeli Naval Vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businessmen and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

At 07:00 on February 3rd 2016, Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area in west Beit Lahiya and detained 4 fishermen and confiscated 2 fishing boats.

Detention

(i) At 08:30 on February 2nd 2016, Israeli forces positioned at Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing point detained Mohammad Abdel-Kareem Al-Assari ( A resident of Deir Al-Balah).
(ii) Israeli forces detained 4 fishermen: Usayed Marwan Al-Sa’idi, Jihad Sid Sakakin, Mohammad Sa’id Al-Sa’di and Mahmoud Sa’id Al-Sa’di off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area in west Beit Lahiya.

Confiscation of Property

Israeli forces confiscated 2 fishing boats.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

• Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
• Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 09:45, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in Al-Buriej camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Raid

At 08:00, Israeli forces escorting military bulldozers stormed 100m into the vicinity of east Al-Fakhari and then opened fire as they levelled a plot of agricultural land then withdrew at 15:30

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is open for the entry of tourist and foreign diplomats and the entry of Humanitarian assistance and construction material funded by UNRWA.
