WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure
  • On February 4th 2016, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers under the age of 50 from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
  • The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits.
  • The Israeli army continues to impose a blockade and deny civilian access to a hill between Biddu and Beit Iksa villages.
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
  • The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint. 
  • On November 16th 2015, Israeli forces closed the south entrance of Jabal Al-Mukabir neighbourhood in Jerusalem which leads to “Armon Hantsiv” settlement with cement blocks.
Military Checkpoints
  • Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
  • On September 19th 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu’fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.
Raid
  • At dawn on February 4th 2016, Israeli forces raided Qalandiya camp, detained a residents and again at 01:35 on February 5th 2016 raided the camp and served a military order for the demolition of 2 homes owned by the families of : Annan Absah and Issa Assaf {who were killed by Israeli forces} then withdrew at  03:00.
  • At dawn on February 4th 2016, Israeli forces raided Qatana village and detained a resident.
Detention
  • At 20:00, Israeli forces detained Sami Al-Ghazali (a resident of Ras Al-Amoud neighbourhood in Jerusalem).
  • Israeli  forces detained Sa’id Musa Manasrah in Qalandiya camp.
  • Israeli forces detained Mohammad Jamal Hushiya in Qatana village.
Temporary Detention
  • At 20:00, Israeli forces detained Sami Al-Ghazali (a resident of Ras Al-Amoud neighbourhood in Jerusalem).
  • Israeli  forces detained Sa’id Musa Manasrah in Qalandiya camp.

Obstruction of Places of Worship
  • At 09:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.
Closure of Wall Gates
  • The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
  • The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al-Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages and in Deir Ibzi’ village with dirt mounds.
  • On December 15th 2015, Israeli forces closed the West entrance of Al-Labban Al-Gharbi village with cement blocks.
  • At 19:35 on January 25th 2016, Israeli forces closed Shuqba village with dirt mounds.
  • On January 27th 2015, Israeli forces closed Beit Ur Al-Tahta village.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 11:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Atarah bridge then searched residents and vehicles until 13:10.
  • At 16:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Abu Mash’al village then searched residents and vehicles.
  • At 16:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Ein Sinya roundabout then searched residents and vehicles until 17:00.
  • At 22:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Ur Al-Foqa then searched residents and vehicles until 00:10.
Raid
  • At 01:30, Israeli forces raided Khirbatah Al-Misbah village, detained a resident then withdrew at 02:00.
  • At 03:30, Israeli forces raided Kobar village, detained a resident then withdrew at 05:20.
Detention
  • At 19:15 on January 3rd 2016, Israeli forces detained Mohammad Taysir Al-Masri {A resident of Shuqba  village} near the entrance of Shuqba  village.
  • At 13:05, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Taybeh village junction located along the main road connecting Ramallah and Jericho detained Mohammad Awni Daoud Aqel (A resident of Ramallah city).
  • Israeli forces detained Salah Mahmoud Ibrahim Al-Habal in Shuqba  village.
  • Israeli forces detained Anas Al-Barghouthi in Kobar village.

JENIN

Closure
  • Closure of Area: On December 24th 2015, Israeli forces closed off the area  {900m wide and 100m long} along the main road connecting Jenin and Tulkarem leading to south Ya’bad and installed a barbed wire fence around the area  and declared the area a closed military zone
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan.
  • Since the evening of November 25th 2012, Israeli forces closed the western entrance of Ya’bad.
Raid
  • Since 04:35 on February 4th 2016, Israeli forces have been presdent in Qabatiya town and closed all the roads leading to the town after declaring the area a closed military zone and clashed with several residents and as a result injured 7 residents: Mohammad Ziyad Sa’abnah, Ahmad Mohammad Zakarneh, Alam Ahmad Nazal, Ahmad Mahmoud Kamil, Ahmad Mohammad Zakarneh {who suffered head injuries after being rammed by a Israeli military vehicle} then stormed and searched several homes and detained 6 residents.
  • At 04:00, Israeli forces raided Rumana village, stormed and searched several homes and summoned Abdel Kareem Ahmad Amour and Anas Ahmad Al-Amour to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then   withdrew at 04:45.
Detention
  • Israeli forces detained 6 residents: Abdel-Rahman Awad Kamil (17 years old), Anas Fawzi Gharaba, Abdel-Saleem Mohammad Khazimah, Assad Kamil, Jasser Imad Awadat and Mahmoud Awidat in Qabatiya.
Closure of Wall Gates
  • Israeli forces continue too close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TUBAS

House Demolition
  • At 08:50, Israeli forces stormed Thira Awad (AlMaksar) area in the North Jordan valley and demolished 4 tents and a Shed as well as 6 tents used to house livestock owned by Kayed Ayed Salamin and Adel Al-Mahdi Ad Salamin.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints
  • At 09:00 and again at 21:25, Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic until 22:10.
  •  
Detention
  • At 18:00, Israeli forces positioned near the wall gate in Shweikiya neighbourhood in Tulkarem detained the child Hisham Assad Mohammad Na’awlah (14 years old).
  • At 18:00, Israeli forces positioned at Al-Taybeh checkpoint located along the green line in west Tulkarem detained Assad Mohammad Na’awlah and Haytham Mohammad Na’awlah {both residents of Shweikiya neighbourhood in Tulkarem}.
Land Levelling
  • At 08:10, Israeli forces stormed the area located between  Izbat Shuqa and Kafa  villages then levelled agricultural land and uprooted Olive trees owned by Fathi Mustafa Ismail (A resident of Izbit Shufa village) claiming the plot of land is confiscated.

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads
  • Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
  • In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
  • Since 16:55 on December 18th 2014, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with dirt mounds
  • Since 10:40 on September 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel Gate.
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 19:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya then searched residents and vehicles.
  • At 19:30, Israeli forces set up  a checkpoint along Habalah tunnel located at the south entrance of Qalqiliya then searched residents and vehicles.
Raid
  • At 01:50, Israeli forces raided Qalqiliya, stormed and searched 2 homes then withdrew at 05:10.
Closure of Wall Gates
  • The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
  • The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate.

NABLUS

Closure
  • Since December 17th 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area.
Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close the roads of Til-Burin and Beit Furik-Salem; the settler bypass road connecting the village of Deir al Hatab to the settlement of Alon Moreh; the road connecting the town of ‘Aqraba to the village of Osrin; and the detour road between the town of Qabalan and the village of Osrin.
  2. The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
  3. At 06:30 on November 22nd 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Aqraba and Yanoun village with dirt mounds.
  4. On November 29th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Burin, Awarta and Osirin as well as the agricultural bypass road connecting Aqraba and Qabalan village with dirt mounds.
  5. At 13:00 on December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Tel village and the bypass road near “Yitsahar” settlement and installed a steel gate in the area.
  6. At 18:30 on January 19th 2016, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Huwara and Walada village with dirt mounds.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At 10:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Rujieb village then searched residents and vehicles until 11:00.
  2. At 20:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Furiq village then searched residents and vehicles until 23:00.
Raid
  • At 09:30, Israeli forces raided Beita until 10:00.
  • At 17:55, Israeli forces raided Osarin village, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 18:20.
  • At 04:55, Israeli forces raided Nablus, detained a resident and served a military order for the demolition of a home owned by Bassam Amin Sayah {A Palestinian Detainee} and withdrew at 05:10.

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
  2. On 15.04.2012, the Israeli army has opened the northern entrance to Salfit city to civilian which was closed since the year 2000 and prevented access from 08:00 until 09:20.
  3. Since 11:00 on July 30th 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Nasar and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks.
Closure of Checkpoints
  • Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.
Raid
  • At 14:30, Israeli forces raided Kafr Al-Dik until 15:00.
Detention
  • At 18:25, Israeli forces positioned near Deir Balout detained Khalaf Ataf Saleem Al-Anati as they were herding their goats.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints
  • Israeli forces continue to intensify its restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint set up along the road connecting Jericho and Nablus District.
Flying Checkpoints
  1. At 10:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho then searched resident and vehicles until 11:30.
  2. At 11:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the Dead Sea junction then searched residents and vehicles until 12:25.

BETHLEHEM

Closure
  • The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village.
  • Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunumes of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities.
Closure of main Roads
  1. The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass ; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala  ; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to  Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
  2. The Israeli army continues to close the road leading to “Newe Daniyyel” settlement and agricultural land in Al-Khader; a road between  Um Tuba and Wadi Al-Hums: Wadi Fukin, Al-Jaba, the Green Line; a road between Za’tara and a detour road, and a road between Taqou and Khirbet Al-Deir with cement blocks.
  3. Since August 2nd 2012, Israeli forces closed a road leading to Beit Jalla.
  4. Since May 8th 2013, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Al-Carmisan area in Beit Jalla and Al-Walaja with a steel gate and barbed wires.
  5. Since June 3rd 2013, the Israeli army closed the road connecting Nihalin and road 60 with dirt mounds.
  6. Since 13:20 on September 29th 2013, the Israeli army closed a road leading to 50 acres of agricultural land in Wadi Salem area in Al-Khadr with dirt mounds.
  7.  Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Surif and Al-Jub’a village with dirt mounds.
  8. On January 28th 2014, Israeli forces closed the steel gate at the entrance of Nihalin { replacing the dirt mounds placed at the entrance since the year 2002} and placed time schedule for opening the gate from 06:00 until 14:00 on a daily bases.
  9. Since 10:45 on September 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the agricultural road located in Arab Al-Rashaydeh village located near “Malee Amous” settlement with dirt mounds.
  10. At 14:50 on November 28th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Um Al-Raqaba area located in Al-Khader with cement blocks.
  11. At 13:45 on January 17th 2016, Israeli forces closed the south entrance of Nihalin village with a steel gate.
  12. At 20:00 on January 18th 2016, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Jinata with earth mounds.
     
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 19:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Taqou’ then searched residents and vehicles until 20:25.
Raid
  1. At 00:35, Israeli forces raided Marah Rabah village and summoned Ali Mahmoud Ali Al-Shiekh to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 01:45.
  2. At 92:15, Isareli forces raided Al-Khader  and summoned Othman Jum’a Taha Salah to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 05:25.
  3. At 02:15, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar, summoned 2 residents: Abdallah Mahmoud Abdallah Jabr and Khaled Tariq Yusef Taqatqa to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 05:25.
Attack

 

  1. At 16:35, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance Taqou’ fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured Amar Yasser Hassan Al-Amour (17 years old).
  2. At 16:50, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Ayda camp in North Bethlehem fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

HEBRON

Closure
  • The Israeli army continues to close Al-Shuhada’ Street, Al-Sahleh and Khuzq Al-Far areas, as well as the old gold market in Hebron’s Old City. In addition to closing the entrance to Al-Qeisi neighbourhood, the Israeli army continues to close the entrances to the area of Al-Hisba (the fruits and vegetables market) with an electronic gate; Al-Laban Market also remains closed.
  • Since 05 January 2009, the Israeli army has closed the area located along the Green Line south of the town of Yatta. Having seized land for Wall construction, the Israeli army evicted the Palestinian residents and denied them access to the area.
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Al-Thahiriya and Al-Samoa’ towns, Al-‘Arrub refugee camp, and Al-Tuwani and Al-Karmil villages. 
  • The Israeli army continues to prohibit Palestinian vehicles from travelling along the old Al-Shalala Street leading to Hebron’s Old City.
  • The Israeli army continues to close all roads leading to Road # 60 as well as detour roads along the settler bypass road leading to Yatta town.
  • The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds a detour road leading to e to Al-Simiya village, the southern entrance of Al-Samou’ and the entrance of Beit Annun with cement blocks.
  • At 05:50 on November 5th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance leading Farsh Al-Hawa area in Hebron with Cement blocks.
  • At 10:30 on November 8th 2015, Israeli forces closed the junction located near “Hagi” settlement located in south Hebron with cement blocks.
  • At 21:00 on November 11th 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting Beit Awwa and Al-Majd village with cement block and dirt mounds.
  • At 15:45 on November 15th 2015, Israeli forces closed Al-Samiya village junction located at the west entrance of Al-Samou’ with cement blocks.
  • On November 15th 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrances of Khliat Al-Miya and Al Dirat and the 2 bypass roads leading east Ytta with cement blocks.
  • On November 23rd 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Al-Qom village located in North Beit Awwa with Cement blocks.
  • On December 1st 2015, Israeli forces closed a checkpoint located along Al-Shuhada road located in the old city of Hebron and prevented residents from passing through the checkpoint and redirected traffic through a road near the entrance of Jabal Al-Rahma.
  • On December 9th 2015, Israeli forces closed a road near Jabal Jallis area located in the old city of Hebron and closed the bypass road.
Raid
  • At 10:10 on February 3rd 2016, Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar and detained a resident.
  • At 13:30 on February 3rd 2016, Israeli forces raided Al-Thahriya and detained 3 residents.
  • At 01:00, Israeli forces  raided Hebron, stormed 3 homes, detained a child then withdrew at 03:40.
Attack
  • At 12:00, Israeli forces positioned Abu Al-Rish checkpoint located in the east area in the old city of Hebron fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
  • At 15:15, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Aroub camp fired rubber coated steel bullets stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
Detention
  • At 19:05, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance of Al-Aroub camp detained Ahmad Kifah Ibrahim Taqatqa (A resident of Shiyoukh).
  • At 23:10, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance of Al-Aroub camp detained 3 residents: Mahmodu Khaled Al-Taweel, Mohammad Ali Khadirat and Azmi Khalil Ahmad Azah.
  • Israeli forces detained Omar Ahmad Issa Awad in Beit Ummar.
  • Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Firas Abdallah Al-Makjharza, Murad Shihadeh Qaysiya and Loia Shihadeh Qaysiya in Al-Thahriya.
  • Israeli forces detained Fadi Abdel-Mu’ti Julius (17 years old).
House Demolition
  • On February 4th 2016, Israeli forces stormed Susiya village located in east Yatta and demolished 2 tents owned by Nasar Ahmad Shartih and then confiscated 2 tents.
GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

  • At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.
  • Israeli forces broke the ceasefire agreement by raiding and opening fire towards  Rafah
  • Israeli forces broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Central Gaza and Khan Yunis.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points
  • Beit Hanun (Erez) is open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businessmen and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.
Attack
  • At 15:00, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in Jabaliya.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points
  • Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
  • Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack
  • At 09:15, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Buriej camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack
  • At 09:00, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Khan Yunis.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points
  • Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
  • Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed
  • Sufa Crossing is closed
  • Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing open for the entry of tourist and foreign diplomats and the entry of Humanitarian assistance and construction material funded by UNRWA.
Raid
  • At 07:00 on February 4th 2016, Israeli forces escorting Military bulldozers stormed 100m into the vicinity of  Sufa Crossing located in North east Rafah and levelled a plot of agricultural land then withdrew at 15:00.
